I never thought about it because I play for fun, and it's even more fun to play live poker with friends.

I hope that I would have more time to play. MTTs are little bit hard combination with daytime job

I don't believe I've wanted to quit, but have needed breaks in the past. Poker is a hobby I enjoy and hope to play for a long time. I currently play in the team league and occasional weekend freeroll and VIP's when possible. I'd like to play more live at some point, but need to balance time and money.

Just like Poker or any other activity you do in your life, at one moment or another a quick thought of a change of direction comes to mind.
Whether it's the withdrawal or a simple guideline in your application so as not to hinder other tasks.
In any activity, however healthy it may be, it's difficult but we always have to know the right moment to leave and pay attention to another.

Somewhere I read a story about a microstakes player, who lost a record amount of money at micros. I don’t remember exactly how much, but it was thousands of dollars and this money was unemployment benefits. He was starving but couldn't stop just BECAUSE THIS IS LOVE!

Good afternoon.I have never thought about quitting this game, since it brings me both joy and extra money.I just play some hours daily(mostly frerolls)and follow a good bankroll management. This being so, there is no reason to put an end to this beautiful hobby.

I quit poker years ago when I was in college because I dind't had time to play and I don't really like to play cash games, which was the only type of game I could play at the time. I had to focus only in college and it was a great decision. I came back to play after the pandemic, because now I'm already graduated and have more free time.

Have you ever thought about giving up on poker because you keep losing? I believe that many times we are not focused enough to win. Poker is a strategic game, and if we play it in the long run, we will certainly succeed. Who has ever thought about quitting halfway through and stop playing?
Hi.
I take breaks quite often, but in fact these are forced breaks because it is difficult for me to find time to play. I have never thought of giving up playing poker because poker is a hobby for me, an entertainment that brings me joy and satisfaction. I don't see the point in denying myself joy and satisfaction :)

I actually did quit poker after black friday. With so limited options I just was not happy and sadi it was over. One month that lasted and never looked back. I do ake breaks from time to time. A few weeks away helps my mindset a lot.

I've stopped playing poker several times, mostly when I had a so-called losing streak and had gambled away all my money. But it always tempts me to continue playing poker. I decided for myself not to deposit any more money into my poker account and rebuild my bankroll with various freerolls. I am also very grateful to CardChat that she gives me the opportunity to join in. I haven't won that much in the freerolls yet, but it's still fun playing poker with you guys. 0:)

I have quit poker but not because I kept losing. I feel like I was doing pretty good for a beginner and was learning lots. When the Ontario government chose who I could/couldn’t play against online anymore I got frustrated and took a break. Since that break, I have recognized more personal reasons that I have walked away from poker. Not sure when/if I’ll return…

I started playing like roughly 13-14 years ago I believe, when I was still around 18. Since then, every 2-3 years I started playing again, paid in $10 or $20 and played for like a month or so but then I always got tilt, rampaged into a losing streak and lost my balance, so I quit and said this game is not for me.

Now, this year I started it again but this is the first time that I really want learn about it and try to improve, not only 'just play because I'm good already'. No, I'm not good and finally I'm aware of it.
So far so good, I don't have such a losing rampage or tilting, but a couple of days ago I had a losing streak of 5-6 games and lost 10% of my bankroll. Then I had a brief feeling that this is not for me. But since then I took a big breath again and remembered that you should not rage quit or try to recover your losses by playing on bigger and bigger stakes. It takes time to improve and to build that bankroll.

So long story short: yes, several times but hopefully now it will be different.

I get bored quite often with poker and also feel guilty spending lots of time playing when I could be doing something more constructive that sitting on the laptop playing.

So I do take long breaks away from the game.

I never gave up on poker, but I took a break to recover from the losses and come back calmer.

Yes, poker takes up a lot of my time and at times I thought about leaving it until I had the time I needed.

Yes, plenty of times actually. I once tried to become a pro player, making a live out of it you know. But because of outside factors, I ended up giving up of this dream and poker too.
Today I play just for fun, enjoying the company of friends

I had a moment when I wanted to give up poker, I was really determined then, luckily I woke up from my drunkenness and started to think clearly

I gave up along time ago online. I started playing when I was homeless living at my grandmas with my mom n hopes to help my mom pay the bills. I started playing and taking the game very seriously. I read 2 books on poker one on cash games and the other on tournaments and had also played zynga for years before and was raised in the Las vegas/Toronto poker seen from a young age.

I knew it was possible to play poker for a living because my previous step dad was a professional poker player... mind you he lost almost everything he ever put online.... including myself same story and many others if not everyone... hince the reason I tell people not to give anymore money to these sites.... They've been ripping people off for years and if you seen the results of playing at a casino vs playing online.... you to would be exposing these for what they're too. Hince the reason I tell people the make massive long shot bets for 20k-80k in hopes they win big, aswell as many others.... **** these clowns over for 50000x times more then they're screwing they're customers. I did this with the last two dollars I had years back on partypoker made 3000 dollars from a multi bet... my last screw you, before leaving partypoker for good. All these sites are the same... nothings fair brother.
