Good Players Vs Bad players (stupid ones) ! Skill>>>>Luck

Am i the only one around here who enjoys playing with actually good players at the game rather than playing with bad players .. because sometimes they defeat you by playing stupidly and doing the wrong thing but cards save them !
I dont mind losing to better players i just hate it when i see someone who doesnt know how to play poker is winning because the cards are saving him ! because i believe poker is 70% skill and 30% luck.

I never like to see the pot being raked away from me. But when it is I would much rather it be because someone who is playing badly (Jamming any two etc..) then someone who is good.

Knowing I got completely owned doesn't make losing feel better imo. lol.

Playing against bad players are much more profitable that good players. This being said I do love the challage of playing vs better players. Thats what makes this game so much fun. We can play against the best players in the world if we wanted to.

I prefer to play v bad players and it is better for me when they took my money ,cause i can get them back after . Daniel Negreanu said if you are the 7th best player in the world but you play with the other 6 best players in the world ,you are the loser of the table .Luck is part of the game and bad players must win sometimes that's why they keep depositing and playing this game .

Ye it can be frustrating seeing the creatures of the night appear on your table, going all in with crap cards and taking down big pots.... But the deeper your in a tourney the less you will see these creatures 👹

Thats why sometimes i prefer playing tourneys ! but most of the time its home cash games ! because at tourneys ur playing real poker most of the time

bad players are there for the money and not the fun of playing poker ! i play the game for the love of it .. im not even a gambler i dont bet on football games or like roulette or smthn .. i think thats stupid and u dont have control over that ! but in poker u can have control it isnt always luck ! so when bad players win .. if they are not greedy they are going to play slow after winning big to cash out and leave .

Look at the completed tournament section from freeroll to high stakes on PokerStars GG 888 etc. youll see patterns of two specific country's that always seem to be finishing on the final tables. Something isn't right you would think such a small country would have less winners but the consistency shows from the freerolls to high stakes. There's no such thing as a coincidence.

Bad players all the time. Even it is hard seeing your pocket rockets getting cracked vs a 75o specialist who gives your money away during the same orbit vs another player. You will profit in the long run for sure.

Been playing in pokerstars Freerolls for 3 days now ! and im starting to see a patern that the game will always serve specific people (those who rebuy the most) and if u reach the freeze time and elimination phase .. at some point it will just bust u out with a stupid bad beat ! had aces i got called with J 5 and 2 5s hit the board ! and the other day i got called with 6 3 off and also the 3 hit the board and lost ! i mean who is calling these hands in tourney games at the main event .... !

Yes! Completely agree with you! I feel the same frustration when I'm playing with noobs, and you can find a lot of them at the freeroll tournaments of Pokerstars satellite! But it happens not only at poker, it also happen in real life!

There is different kinds of joy on playing poker. If you find it cool because of the mindgame side, for playing "metagames" with other good players, good. There is also those who love to take chips from the bad players that make a lot of mistakes mathwise on the game, and thats fine too. Others just want to beat the odds, dont bothering with the maths and poker strategics, no problem either. Actually, its the simbyose of all these players that turn poker on a profitable and funny game at the same time

I hope to extinguish this delusion by sharing a true story with you. It is not to debate what a good player is...merely to demonstrate these tropes as false and skill (though relevant, as you progress through any given hand) is not as high a requirement as you imagine it to be, when measured against luck.

But first a question

If a player moves all in the very first hand of a tourney....and does not deviate from this strategy...how many hands would you expect them to last in the tourney?

If you want to test your skills and improve your game- than I agree it's better to play against good poker players but if you want to make money than playing against 'bad' players it's the way to go- I mean, if you take poker seriously than you should think on the long term and you'll print money against players that rely only on luck(people that just push buttons)...
