Hoover Dam is worth a trip out to see and Freemont is like a timewarp when you've been on the strip for a few days.

The all you can eat buffets are fun - we liked the Wynn and Bellagio best.

Total surprise was all the in your face escort cards. Literally every yard an there's someone shoving a card in your face.

Don't take anyone up on offers of "free" this or that. Nothing is really free.

O Cirque De Soleil was mind boggling and the Legends was much better than I thought it would be.

The place is massive and the individual casino's are too - so if you're with someone and you split up make clear instructions for meeting up again.

Nice - how much was the cash? Where else did you play?

I have seen the Blue Man Group in New York and in Vegas - both were great shows.

Play in a few mmt's, i like the 1-2 buck cash games, or 2-5, stay away from the roulette wheel, the keno game, and especially the prostitutes. And avoid any special offers outside the casinos. And GOOD LUCK!

If your going to play black jack use the progressive method. Where you only raise your bet half of what you won the previous hand.

If you lose three hands in a row, walk away from the table--the most important to remember.

@Dakota - 1st for $2600, 105 runners like a 10/11 hour grind amazing structure $125 buy in, won another tourney at Binions on my 21st Bday (only had 20 runners lol, week leading to Chrimbo is smallest of year, was like $70 BI for $450 and 3rd in Golden Nugget same day for like $350 (so it was a good bday)

Blue man group was pretty amazing - hard to explain to people mind haha

@Ram $120 taxi too and from airport to hotel and like 15 minutes, feels like its over in seconds, expensive but worth it imo

Why? Downtown is good :) lots of women in the deepstack tournament I won, guess they loved the structure, which is understandable

Although women seem to have a complex about their blinds being raised esp. by me, do you have this Dakota?

It is too far from the strip. It costs too much RT in a cab and takes more time out of my day. I can catch a shuttle from my timeshare now but most of the tournaments I have considered playing in start early by Vegas standards - 11am or 12pm. I would have to take such an early shuttle and my time is too valuable.

I will play a couple of Ladies events downtown this summer though.

Interesting note about the blinds - they are raised often so not sure what the issue they had was lol. I expect my blinds to be raised - if not and I don't have a hand I get to see a flop - but that is not my expectation. I am not that fond of playing marginal or weak hands out of position - so if my blind is raised unless I have a decent hand I can happily fold. If I do have a decent hand I don't mind the raise at all.

It felt like they felt like I was targeting them.. "thats the third time hes raised our blinds" (they were sat next to each other) and i was like ok yup im doing it deliberately, its a funny one :)

So was like guess women have the perception that men want to outplay them and that they are tight so they raise their blinds, just wondering if its causing some to be paranoid :) so nice to have your POV
