The game can influence your work and in your personal life ??
A few years ago my wife and I separated because of my gambling addiction . I lost a lot of money and I often cashed these losses in my family , I play poker for many years , I am cashgames player , I stopped playing because it was losing more than I won, now I play online poker , spending very little and live happily with my fimilha I learned to share the game of personal life.

Congratulations for being able to change things and leave that addiction, the ability of intelligence is to be able to change, I want to say that you have been very intelligent and now there are things better than just the addiction that had my congratulations and a new life begins:RE

Poker will not affect the life. Unless...you lose all the money.

Sometimes money is not everything, maybe in everyday life money influences a lot, but sometimes pro think of money, we lose the best things that life gives us, some call it small things (I say that those little ones are the most Important), leave family, friends, lose to do things as a way out, enjoy the day, etc etc, I think that not only affects losing money you can maybe make a lot of money playing online, but to question that? Make money at the expense of losing other things ?, humbly is an opinion, I do not agree that only affects if you lose money

of course you can. If you do not know how to have time for your family and end up getting addicted, of course this will mess up a lot. Ideally, this is a hobby for hobbyists and to look upon as a profession and to understand that they have time to start and end.

I think poker is not the worst addiction item. There are much more dangerous ones such as sportsbetting and casino games where much bigger sums are lost.
I don't think one can say which one is more dangerous. IMO it's just depending on what kind of influence it has in a persons life.

That being said, I find it very courageous that joao mariano shared a part of his story. Also I see some people in my personal circle that got into some kind of trouble as a result of playing poker (online), mostly because they spend more money then healthy on playing and the isolation. It's like they live in poker, not in real life.

I also started a thread that had something to do with this subject. I find it rather weird no one replied yet. Maybe it's me being to impatient  . If you have the time ... please have a read and let me know your opinions:

Of course the poker game can affect your personal life.If the game does not bring money and pleasure, not have to endure its negative mood in the family.Of course,to be oppressed by the game, etc it will affect the overall climate in the family. You should try to leave all your "poker" negative - there online. In cases of long failures-just take a break from poker until you will not miss it).
P.S.
Good luck at the poker tables and good mood)):D :D :D :D :D

It is clear that poker should be to pass the time and if they also want to mental sport.
But we can not lose more than we can invest in it.
For my first job and family, poker is a complement in my life that I love.

Thanks God poker hasn't 'influenced' my life financialy or my family , I can control this 'hobby' , despite the tilt moments I have some times . I sympathise with those people that have addiction problems , hope they will be able to overcome these the sooner the better , and with the less negative effects on their life :)

Yes.

In the wrong hands it can be addictive and can destroy lives.

Certainly, sometimes I can not pay attention in college, because my head is thinking about getting home soon to be able to play poker. That has a great influence on my life.

Poker teaches you to make the right decisions. First you make them at the poker table: you try to get the best bet.
Then it dawned on me that all life consists entirely of making certain decisions, and the level of this very life depends on the quality of the decisions made.

I think if I had a gambling addiction, I would avoid poker entirely, even online. They say once an addict, always an addict. It seems better just to stay away.

I am very moderate. I like to play, but I don't let it affect my work and my income.

Everything when done excessive can influence your family life and job. Free time and money are finite resource for everybody so they must be shared wisely between hobbies, job and family.

Everything is bad in excess, it is easy to say it, but when one is the one who goes through that situation, he does not realize it and simply continues doing it, unfortunately we realize when we have already lost everything
