At the other extreme cash games weekends in Vegas the trick is to be a little bit less wrecked than the rest of the table sipping a Diet Coke just marks you down as a serious player at least have a beer in the drinks holder.
when I'm playing with friends and family, local games, or to release stress and splashing on micro stakes, why the hell not. But if you want to be a serious player, then you need to decide "why" are you playing, for fun? or to make a living?
