I used to love going south to hot weather and lots of sun. As I got older I began seeking the shade and avoiding the hot sun. Now I never vacation down south and prefer to stay home on my own beach (I live on salt waterfront). It's cooler in the summer and cheaper. The closer winter gets the more poker I play!

Seriously: most people need to recharge their brain after concentrating hard like you do if you are a professional poker player. Some extreme individuals who also think poker is the most fun and interesting thing they can do may keep on grinding year after year without being negatively affected. I think Doyle Brunson played almost every day for example.

Between everything going on in my live with work, family poker ect, I could imagine a processional poker players fee as I do right at this moment. They could you a real vacation to relax and recharge. I know I could use one and really haven't had a true vacation in...................................................... OMG I am not 100% sure any more but I think it was in 2007.

Vacation at least 5 weeks every year to relax and recharge body and brain and focus on other things then poker.I also think one day at least every week of the year to rest is essential to maintain energy and focus to be a winning player.

Yes, I think it's useful to take a break from any job, even such as poker. I haven't been playing poker for a week, taking a break from poker and coming back with the energy I gained on vacation, I always advise everyone to relax and feel like a person Living for themselves is very good for themselves and for your health
