:)

Yes that is what a forum is about at least it is here to have a friendly community and talk about poker and even talk about non poker topics as well. It is the best forum out there.

I apologize that your first experience here was like this and I promise 99% of CCers are friendly peoples lol

Ilikefish has been banned for his inappropriateness in this and other threads going as far as insulting one of our lovely mods, and his attitude and his behavior will not be tolerated here.

Hopefully you stick with us and I doubt you'll experience much like this again.

Well thank yoU I really appreciate it. I will plan to stick around on this forum it seems like there are some awesome people here.I have seen this forum around for a long time and well since I am getting back into the swing of things I figured this would be a good start.:congrats:

I don't really have a problem with it per say but don't expect to not be judged on the SN you choose for yourself. One should have a right to tattoo the image of a penis on his or her forehead but I don't think he should expect for people to not call him a dickhead...that's just common sense!

not easily offended, but think all offensive names should be banned to protect those who get offended more easily

Makes no difference to me, but when you make a poker id, you should think I gotta live with this forever on this particular site, its like when your parents named you, your kind of stuck with that too!!

My personal opinion in honestly indifferent but if I had to lean to one side I would say not to use any sexual orientations for your usernames. In fact I'm pretty sure that this may be true for some sites. I do remember one site saying that if the username was offensive that you may need to change this.

We live in a great state of change where people are equal. Lets keep it that way! : )

I love making up crazy names when I create an account at a site. And when you have to speak to a customer rep when they ask you how to spell the certain names, sometimes it is hard to do without laughing. Although I could see how some may get offended, but another thought is that some players create these crazy names for various reasons to tilt other players, just a thought.

haha Good read. Nice to see such health emotions about our beloved poker.

I have a Son that is 12 & he loves Poker just like the rest of the family. We play together (live) & also on Apps & on the weekends he just likes watching us run the MTT's.

I just try & explain to him that these players are not thinking about poker & are proberly easy targets.

whatever

Funkingayman lol hows that for a screenname? did i offend u? Who really cares? or is there still some type of moral lining to adhere to so not to offend the sensitive shmucks out there in the online pokerworld. What classification do u fall under, because your definitely falling with this topic. If it is offensive or indecent (make people not waanner put money onsite) then no, but clean sex sells so....... So i ask you is the name above considered offensive of is it just a funky happy guy? hahahahahahahahahaha lets just talk about cards and how you can improve them online cause right now all you sorry poker sites suk.

I personally find this offensive. I think that the online poker rooms should at least check these out. I understand that we are all adults. I get that , but what if you have kids around or just plain ol do not care to see someones screen name reverting to something sexual.. really what is everyone's:eek:  thoughts?

poker isn't for kids (or so they say, I have nothing against kids playing ) so I don't see the problem AS LONG as they're into duck porn. Otherwise we'll have a serious prublem

Free speech is free speech. It's very existence means some people aren't going to like some things that are said, personal taste is a fickle thing.

Having said that, free speech has limits, it doesn't give you the right to yell "fire" in a darkened movie theatre for example. I don't think sexual screen names are a particular problem. Some can be funny when they're aimed at oneself. Some can certainly be offensive. But unless they're advocating criminal acts (to a degree), than I don't have a problem with them.

There is an age limit to play, we are adults. Farthest thing from my mind is someone screen name.
