Most of my profit comes from playing tournaments - most of my practiced skills come from playing cash.

Ditto. I like them 50/50 as long as the tournaments are turbo I just dont have the patience to play in one of the bigger tournaments that will last 4 hours +
2 hours max for me :) unless Im doing really well then might make it to 4 lol

I play both tournaments, but in preference I like the tournaments, I like the sensations that there is when classifying in the bubble, to see how they are going to kill to enter, the different ways of games of opponents and others

Used to love tourney play till my time became more limited and now I enjoy sitting down for say 200 hands and being able to leave when ever.

cash game, where the game leans to skills and the less leaks/mistakes you do, leads you to more profit.

Plus, your name doesn't pop-up in the board :)

I have predominantly played cash games only just started tourneys since I joined 888 Poker & pokerstars I have only played freerolls at the moment just to see how it goes. I have reach the final table once and cashed about in about 50% of games played albeit low stakes so moving from cash to tourneys may not be too difficult could be time to venture further

I prefer TOurnaments every day in the week. It's like day and night, i really cant understand how anyone can appreciate cashgames, the thrill in tournaments when u get to the finaltable and double up.

The nits gets there ass beaten, because the blinds go up, in cashgames the nits just wait and wait and beat you with higher set... and u are down and need to grind up again, at that point i tend to tilt. In a tournament i get just as mad but i am out and there is not much i can do about it.

If poker was only cashgames i would be out of it. I can win a tournament and be 100dollar up in a day, but at 10NL (my level at CG) i get like 10dollars in the best of days.

Tournaments or Cashgames and why? (u cashgames guys have to explain extra hard why you prefer cashgames before tournaments:D )

Cash games are good if you know the hand you have and your opponent can win cash games you can sponsor a tournament in order to win a better prize

My brothaaaaa! Tournament play all the way! Cash game play can be a nicely reliable way to turn a profit--IF you can stand the boredom. I just can't, and tournaments are so much more exciting! Plus there's the attraction of a big hit. But I don't think MTTs alone are suitable for grinding up a bankroll, so I tend to gravitate toward the middle ground of single table Sit 'N Gos for that purpose.

I love both. Maybe tournaments a little more because there is a chance to be the winner. But cashgames just like tournaments brings me earnings. :)

Personally I like to play in tournaments more. I feel some atmosphere of a competition. Each stage is as a victory in a certain level, and the further take place in a tournament, the this feeling is stronger. In a game on money originally you want to win and if you begin to lose, then it is necessary in time to stop. For a game in a tournament it is necessary to have of course rather free time.

I do prefer the cash game instead of tournaments. Less pressure on my shoulders, I can think more accurately and get more good hands

I prefer playing tournaments , I like that tournaments are structured ( early , middle , late) and offer a good winning if you have a bit of luck.

Long time to play = Tournament
Little time to play = Cash

I never thought about the difference in profitability between these two options.

I prefer tournaments at the moment. My cash game play needs a bit of work. I generally just enter one sporadically to work on it. But 90-95% of my games are tourneys. For me its not easy adjusting my game so that I can play cash effectively. But that is online. For some reason live I do well in cash (as in break even on average no heavy loss or heavy wins) and same goes for live tourneys. Since I started keeping track anyway.

I prefer cash games. If you try to show themselves in several different formats, you do not become an expert in none. In my opinion, it is best to specialize in one format and try to become the best possible way is there than to try to get everything at once. This will give a much more profit.
