Cash games are more profitable and you can earn more rake points on most sites. Tourny's are more about the competition (And usually a way bigger payout). As far as rebuys go I hate em

Cash Game > Freezeout > Rebuy. I effing hate rebuys. You should only get 1 stack of chips. If you lose them you're out.

+1. Rebuys suck. You can donk your chips off and then throw more money at the tourney and win. I play tourneys and cash games. When I don't have time or have been losing at tourneys I hit the cash table.

If I could play cash games and win the would be my favorite, but I've never had continued success playing in cash games. Right now I juts play low level SnG and Tournies. Maybe when I can build up a bigger bank roll I'll go back and practice my cash game,.

That's an easy one...CASH! Although in real life I'd prefer the 2 table tourneys because there are the reading skills involved and I like competition, In online poker the win rate is much higher(and quicker) in cash games...
Rebuy tourneys is a joke!I don't believe in it!

I only play micro cash, Slow and patient:D

Lazmansa:cool:

My man:D I used to be unpatient at cash games thinking that i'll go frop 10 dollars to 1k in several days:)) But poker is not like that. Sometimes i only make 1 dollar playing 4 hours at microstakes. Slowly but surely my bankroll is growing i i think yours too.

100 dollars in one mounth for a beginner at microstakes is the best . U have to be lucky to grow up faster.
I think good SG players can make more money at 2.4 $ SG that a player at microstakes. And also good turnament players can hit the jackpot once a mounth and don't have to rely on cash games.

I also think old players with experience make money playing tournaments. SG and cash , Holdem or Omaha. I saw players on full tilt playing 200$ or 500 buy-in tournaments, getting in the money once at 7-10 tournaments making in one day more than i make in a year.
Saw same players playing high stackes .

i was a tournament player during the early stages of my poker life. when i was able to build a decent BR i tried playing cash game. it was good at start winning about 0.25bb/100hands.. but then there comes the inevitable variance and the huge downswing crippled me hard that i could not bare it. i stopped playing for a while and went back to sng's and tournies. now it will take a while i guess before i get back to playing cash games... lesson learned is if i lose 4bi in a game, STOP!

I like tourneys, because there is a chance for a big payday. Also, I like how you you have a sense of how you did against the field of all other players. You more or less can keep score on how you did by where you finished. As well as, there is a clear goal of finishing first. You get a real sense of accomplishment when you finish first in a tournament that you don't get by playing cash games, even if you win a lot of money playing cash games.

I preafer cash games than tournies because cash games instant and quick results......

yes and poker is about instant gratification

+1 cash games- because I cry when I lose and the poker gods live off of tears and failure

I stick mostly to cash games now. I played SnGs and MTTs probably 90% of the time my first couple years of playing online, but after moving to cash games I tend to get bored with tournaments now.

I prefer SNG's and tourney's with no rebuys because i'm alright in them. In cash games i'm not the greatest and unsuccessful because I always end up broke. I always start out alright but never know when to leave in cash table :(.

Tourney's were at one time fun - when I did this strictly for enjoyment a long, long time ago. Now, MTT's - unless for a special event/cause - just bore the heck out of me - and I can't stand playing my butt off for 3 hours and then getting stacked with AA by some knucklehead with K9o. At least at a cash game, I'll be sure to get my money back from him - sooner or later, anyway. In a tournament, I'd never get that opportunity. SNG's are still a small part of my game but they are slowly fading out as well.

So, yes - cash games all the way for me - specifically 6 max online and 1/3 live.

Without a doubt tourneys. I love the different stages, like the bubble play, then the play hovering around the final table. I live for that! :)

I perfer tournies except for Rush. I don't normally like cash because sometimes you can sit for a while before you get a premium hand and you can lose all you've won in one hand.

I've turned into a cash game player, a 6max cash game player. I usually don't have the patience to sit around and wait for premiums so 6 max allows me to mix it up a bit more.

I dont understand why people dont love playing with people that play bad cards and play good/bad cards without any logic, sounds like the best opponent in the world.

You honestly would rather play technical, intelligent players...? My god.

Anyway cash games are the best, tourneys are fun but they are the roulette of poker sooooo...be prepared to lose often for the 1 sick score.

This year I've really gotten into the rebuy mtt's for online so yes, I'm one of the odd ducks who voted that way.

Live play I definitely prefer cash games!
