I play because I like poker. So you can assume that I play for fun. But with the hope of winning some money. :)))

I mostly play this for fun! I loved playing cards even when I was a kid, so my passion for poker was somewhat logical! It would be great to earn some dollars, but it is definitely not important!

I play for the money. Otherwise I'd be playing Solitaire on Microsoft. Unfortunately I'm not a fan of watching other people play so will have to miss your channel. Good luck on it though.

in the beginning I played for fun and passion for poker. Over time I saw that I wanted to set bolder goals, so I started to study and it is my intention today to be a professional player!

For fun , but as serious as I would make a living out of it, so yeah even if its for fun since I am not making or plan to make a living out of it I treat every game as I depend on it.

I am a recreational player because I do not have poker as the main source of income. Even so I am a profitable player and the idea of making money doing what I love is what most motivates me to study and perfect my game to someday become a professional player.

Otherwise I'd be playing Solitaire on Microsoft.

Yep, that's true. Without money, there is no poker for me for sure. There're lots of other games to play, and - what's more important - lots of more interesting games than poker.

Offtopic: I prefer Hearts on Microsoft. Yesterday, I was 1st twice in a row (out of two games). :D

I think i would lie if i said i dont play for the money, but i also love the game.
So the question here is would i still play when there isnt money(even when playing only on the micros) involved?
I honestly think i wouldnt play much with nothing on the line.

As much as I would like to act like Poker is fun, losing is not fun... I take my winning and losing seriously so I typically do other things when I'm playing poker like watching movies and what not, and if i run good/deep i focus in and take it more seriously XD.

At the beginning, when I started I thought I would make good money, but now I see that I'm not very big enough so I'm just playing exclusively from the fun, and of course I only play tournaments at CC :)

I play for both, it's as they say, if you do what you love, you will never have to work.

I have always dreamed about being a poker professional.

(like, literally, I have actually had dreams around it...)

I thought it would be both exciting and financially stimulating...

After four months of constant grinding...I think the money part is starting to get closer...

Cross my fingers!

I'm definitely in it for the money. I'd like to make enough playing SNGs to only work part time. I'd like to show profit over more than 4 months. Then I'd like to use my extra time to play/study more MTTs, hit a big win and retire.
But I do love playing poker. Card games were a big part of my childhood and I enjoy them all (once poker has earned me more free time I want to learn euchre and my mum wants to teach me bridge). Also, the more I learn about poker the more I want to learn, it's just so fascinating.

There is no fun w/o money. How would your job be w/o money?Any activity requiring a skilled effort with no money is no fun for me.

My job without money would be SLAVERY. And yes, I can only imagine that it is no fun at all to be a slave.
