I have better results playing MTT's than cash games. The strategy is a bit different, and I seem to read my opponents better in MTT. I also enjoy MTT more, both online and live.

cash is more difficult because anyone with money can keep rebuying no matter how poorly they play. yes statistically we should still make more money off of them. but the poor play due do the fact that they will never be out because it is not a tournament makes it more dangerous and unpredictable.

I think cash is way harder, to me it comes down to effective stack depth. Playing 300 bbs deep on cash is a completely different game than having 20bb stacks in a mtt.

I’d say cash... it’s much more difficult to make a c bet with real money than tourney chips....

I almost titled this post, "Which Do You Like Better" but then I changed it. The question is inregards to cash games or tournaments. Which is harder for you? For me it is tournaments. I am very card dependent. It is hard for me to get a good read on opponents and narrow their range. This makes me very card dependent, and this is sort of ok in a cash game. I can sit around and wait for good cards, and then hope to get paid off when I get those good hands. In a tournament there is so little room to wait for good cards. The blinds rises up and before you know it, you have nitted yourself out of the game, because the blinds have eaten you alive. Tournements are harder for me because of this. How about you? Which is harder and why?
If you want to build a bankroll then tournaments are not the place to do it. Cash game is a much better option. If you are having a bad day, get up and move to another table. Tournament you are stuck in it with your money on the line.

For me, the cash game is more challenging. Since it is difficult for me to control my bankroll and it is very easy to lose more than my bankroll allows. In tournaments, you pay the amount of the buy-in and you know that you will not lose more for this amount. Tournaments also force you to think more non-standardly and to play with different cards in different situations, often not the best ones, to go further in the tournament.

I find tournaments harder than cash. Yet I always end up playing in more tournaments and losing money. I guess tournaments have more action because eventually you are forced to play as blinds go up. Cash games you can wait a long time before playing and wait for the really good hands

Hello
I kinda like tournaments,
Rather than cash games, as you only risk a certain amount on your buy in and get to play long hours and if you make it to cash, you recover your investment.
No risk involved.

I Kinda Like Your Reply to this Thread...

Just recently I've indulged in the cash Games and I'm breaking even on PokerStars and $5 down on 888Poker I'm $10 down on Party Poker but I spent Most of that on Tournaments, Late at night when I'm so Tired i cant sleep lol Probably the worst time to play Poker...

I realize that you can earn far more quickly in cash games but then you can lose more just as quickly so if you really do love to just play then MTT's are best for Value over all...

If its a quick double up you need then opt for Cash Game...

I feel that online cash games are harder for me. I like to play live cash games. I have way better results in live cash games. Online cash games have taken up my bankroll far to often. I still find them fun to play though.

Both are hard, in their ways. Ring games are harder for your bankroll because is linked to it directly. Being aggressive in cash games is not necessarily part of the strategy like it is in tournaments, the harder side of this game. By the other hand you pay the buy in and go for it and this fee is all you can lose.

Cash games are more difficult for me because of decisive decisions you need to make that may or may not affect your whole bankroll. Good Luck[emoji86]
