You can't make $3,000,000 a yeay (2004) every year. Maybe your looking at wsop only. Take a look at WPT 2 for 2006/7. Finished 2nd & 3rd in 2 events for over $1,000,000, many smaller cashes elsewhere.

And no, he's not gay. He was going with Evelyn Nguyen while he was still a kid in canada. Married later (not to her).

I'm gonna cut Stonekid86 a break. It's obvious English is not his native tongue. Him/her, she/he - doesn't mean he's stupid or smoking crack. He's probably Romanian, and interested in Negreanu, as Dan's parents moved from Romania just a few years before he was born. Are you from Romania Stoner? It's okay, we don't ban you just for that. I give him credit for trying to make an honest post - not like that BeautyLaura a Romanian who cuts and pastes eloquent (plagiarized) passages.

Now I'll try to reply using simple terminolgy. Reading your oppnonents' cards is not thought to be magic or by a crystal ball. It is knowing how to read the player - body language, expression, tells (certain changes in behavior), and of course, how they play and bet their hands. Daniel is a master at this, and probably learned it from his father. So yes, it is a skill. He does make some loose calls. Don't we all. Sometimes he likely misreads. No one is infallable.

Some of you people need to learn that comments can be made about an aspect of something, such as a person's penchant to play very loose on TV, without that comment meaning the player stinks or a like generalization.

Baseballs "Splendid Splinter" was lambasted by the press forever because he refused to adjust his hitting style, if you will, to the "William's Shift." Not one of those writers thought Williams was anything less than one of the top three hitters who swung the bat! They just marveled at how much better he could have been.
