I dont play live, but putting myself in your shoes, I'd either just ignore them or maybe ask for floor to remove them if it gets too much. Why should I have to leave?

I might even comment back, with something like:

-"I'm sorry, I didn't hear you. The sounds of me stacking your chips is just too loud."

Online, I just LOL at them.

Online if someone tears into me I always apologize "I'm sorry Daniel N. I didn't know you played at this micro level. I thought you only played at tournaments that are on TV.

Then I look for opportunities to stack their chips without tilting.

Live I the only words I usually say are good hand sir. I made a diving catch.

Or I just say nothing.

Abuse will not be tolerated - live or online. Plain and simple. ;)

I understand that, you should seek punishment for the abusers, that doesnt mean you're not weak if you let some random person hurt your feelings.

Well, I'm Brazilian so any hand against a Canadian, English or Russian player comes with an offense.

any hand against a Canadian, English or Russian player comes with an offense. they play to many hands with out a sense... just play for bingo i hate that ..

so EVERY Canadian, English and Russian player acts and plays the same ?
I'm laughing my butt off . whole nations of people, all the same .
you should just let people wonder if you're prejudice
instead of posting and proving it . very rude :)

Looks to be a burning topic)

Actually I was going to start a similar thread. I observe players sending garbage to chat too often. All nations, without exception. This is not about nationality, it's about people's nature.
I don't get upset or angry when people abuse me. If you start think about it your emotions may impair your play, since you will try to find an edged response or to punish this person by taking his/her chips. All this will probably lead to making bad decisions. So, total ignorance seems to be the best option for me.

AMEN!

Online rooms should tighten up. So many have NO clue about playing in a brick and mortar casino. The things some people say would get them kicked out of REAL casinos indefinitely. Yet, there seem to be no consequences for their abuse online.

Well, I'm Brazilian so any hand against a Canadian, English or Russian player comes with an offense. Specially when the Donkey calls my 4x raise pre flop with 56o or shoves back and I call the 42o with AA.. Then the bad words start raining!

Usually I don't mind but sometimes, I simply report and/or block them and try to be overagressive against them.. They're tilted and will probably want to hit my stack hard so.. with premium hands I will be overagressive and earn from it!

I can't speak for the English or Russians, but most of the Canadians I've met, including myself, have been polite to a fault. I don't do a lot of chatting but any abusive remarks are usually met with, "better luck next time," or "have a nice day." :aetsch:

I think it's hilarious that it's a Brazilian suggesting this since they are CLEARLY in the Top 5 of what's bad about online poker

On a serious note for me, I have always taken SERIOUS offense to any comments about my mom, since she died in 2004 and it was mostly after that that I was playing more SERIOUSLY both online/live.

NOW, the only other thing that sets me off (and is at least half of why I was banned from a poker fb group) is ANYTHING talking sh*t about my son. I, unfortunately, am not allowed to see him ever. But I did have him in my life everyday for the first 6 months or so of his life and saw him until he turned 1. So I know for a fact that he is, actually, a very cute kid! Plus, anything about his "personality" (do you have one before 2 years old) really gets under my skin because he has obviously never done anything wrong. People who go there seem to be VERY disturbed in my mind.

What is the Top 5 of what's bad about online poker? And why are Brazilians in this top 5 (& how do we know this fact)?

As i said in earlier post, i was dealing with one as i wrote the post. He didn't last long in the tournament. He had a mountain of chipsbut was to busy chatting with ppl & not concentrating on his game. If these ppl bug you so much. Then why don't you just block their chat? That's what I would do4sure. Be lucky from bonnie Scotland. Xx

As a brazilian I admit that every single one of us has a little troll in us, its just in our nature to not take anything seriously (that's why we'll never be as developed a country as we could(should).

I've reported people without it effecting them, I hate when harmless chitchat turns into a you know what contest. I've seen a couple of very hostile exchanges in real life, which were not pretty, but in the end, nothing ended up happening physically. Security was on it. Sometimes, I wish there were as efficient of security online as there is in real life.

I came here to say that I always try to ignore and frequently call the moderators to deal with them, but that bouncer video is pretty awesome.. LOL

Loved this one also: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYVUb3i3GSo

But, mainly because I'm brazilian, most tilted players usually will use stereotyped offenses like "monkey", "slum people" and things like that.

Those kind of thing really don't hurt me, first because I know all the problems of my country and second because I know only stupid low-life scum will resort to an offense like "monkey".

I'm pretty white but racism is something that should not be tolerated in any circumstances, but the moderators never did a single thing against it, even though I called them several times and they were able to see the words used. But that's usual Pokerstars behaviour...

Stop whining about bullies. You are online and almost every site gives you the ability to block individual players chat so you don't even have to see it. So stop crying and play poker.
