I really like to play both styles, both Mtts and cash game

Good afternoon everyone, cash games or Mtts? I can't decide on a modality, I really like to play both types, in my opinion cash games are more fun to play and Mtts are the best way to earn money.

Hey guys, what do you recommend to create a positive portfolio playing in cash games or in long tournaments?

I prefer MTT tournaments. I don't play cash games because they are very difficult for me. I especially love our daily freerolls, thanks to which I increase my bankroll every week.

I think that you should play the games that you like more. And enjoy the game.

Cash games for sure.

Sit and go's are still my favorite form to play online, but that game mode is dead and even though it got me into poker it also stunted my growth into cash games. MTTs I think can be fun for some occasional stabs but I never had much success out of the 45 or 180-man SNG MTTs.

I am better able to play long tournaments, because I often want to make an ollin in the cash. I've leaked it many times. The tournament has a fixed fee. The bank is sufficient for a long period, even in the case of regular failures.

Mostly on tournaments, with doses of cash games. Tournaments are better for bankroll control!

I think the best place to start is with a tournament, and a cash game is if you have enough bankroll

I would like to have an answer for you, but it will depend on your style of play, your available money, your skill in each game modality and also your available time.

I prefer cash. Once you make a decent bankroll with cash. You can play tournaments. Tournaments require more luck than cash games simply because blinds go up and you must play blinds. Cash you dont have to play blinds just fold fold fold fold fold and wait for someone to donate.

I like cash games when I'm short on time, but if time wasn't an issue I'd play tournaments for the fun of winning prize money with small buy-in compared to prize.

Both are good and viable options in today’s poker scene. You can pick either one and be profitable with enough work and commitment.
However, they are two very different formats, with two different sets of skills required to be profitable and mindsets required to stay sane. No one should know your skill set and better than you, so its up to you really.

Here are some pros and cons of each format. Maybe they will help you to make up your mind.

Tournament pros:
1) When you win, you win big
2) The field is softer than in cash games
Tournament cons:
1) Too much variance
2) Time consuming. Once you register in a tournament you are stuck there until you win or bust
3) Tough bankroll requirements. Due to high variance, you need a bigger bankroll to withstand downswings
Pros to cash games:
1) Flexible schedule. Unlike tournaments, in cash games you can play when you want, and how long you want
2) More postflop play. Since there are no blind levels, you can focus on your deep stack post-flop game and exploiting your opponents
3) Less downswings.
Cons to cash games
1) Too many regulars. These days it is hard to crush even at micro stakes. You really need to be a top players to succeed
2) It gets boring with time.
3) You will not have huge paydays even when you run super good.

There you have it. Hope this is helpful, an good luck!

Hi.
I realized a long time ago that I can't play cash games. I prefer tournaments that increase my bankroll.
