...if your point was that an average person can learn to play poker well and make money in cash games with practice and some money, you could have phrased it in a much less snarky tone.

I think there is definitely more money in tournaments when it comes to online poker, and the opposite when playing live poker especially on a Friday night when alcohols involved. There are so many fish at the casino low limit tables but there are players grinding 1c/2c tables on every site. It’s actually pretty wild. Live tournaments usually have a pretty good player base as well but are also profitable for good players. Live tournaments however there are no push or fold programs available so you need the knowledge in your head.

If you are brainless heee haww player who needs single table intense action then tournaments are better for you.

Seriously? This is a summation of all players who prefer tournaments over ring games? A tournament is like a football season. Skill, intellect, patience, brute strength, delicacy and grace, game-plan, adaptation skills, reading the offense, reading the defense etc, etc.... all managed and used at the appropriate time.... and held together from preseason (very early blind levels) to the wildcard battles (approach bubble) to the playoffs (in the money).... then the very rare and special occasion of Superbowl Sunday.... final table baby.

Thinking Dan Marino right now. Should he have played a different sport :D
