I prefer cash. The variance and time commitment issues for tournaments usually make it much more difficult to play tournaments. Also I don't have access to online poker yet and the single day live tournaments are mostly turbos and super turbos where if you don't run good when the blinds get big you just can't survive. In a cash game you can go card dead for an hour or two and just fold then recover later.
prefer mtt myself, its what ive played the most online and most of my exp is in it. i agree that cash tables can be dangerous to your bankroll but thats cause im a fish hahah
fron my experience I feel I play better in tourneys than cash games first off. But the other reason to play tourneys is cause you can win more money. There are prize pools for you to win from.
If you are short on time then cash for be better, but you also lose money faster in cash games than tourneys as well
I like the tourneys on poker stars, I mostly do sit and goes or tournaments I haven't done so much cash, but maybe I should give it a try. also cash you can leave anytime you want tournament till your busted.
I really like to get some easy earnings in cash game especially when i have some spare time, but I think it s more thrilling to catch the bigger fish in a great tournament, so I try my luck on it as much as I can.
Which one do you prefer to play?
Poker rules read on the Internet, started out in cash games. After a successful all-ins started to work on learning a denser, combining with online MTT's. I liked the good pace of the game in tournaments (the growth of blinds,Ante), I do not return to the caches for lack of it.
Recently, I've been playing in tournaments and cash games, including zoom, so I don't choose between these two formats. Sometimes I play almost all unlimited Texas Holdem formats except 6+.
