now I started a new bankroll, the last one took me a few weeks .... don't forget to set limits and don't exceed them, if you reach what you set ... stop, don't try to win more , cash out and go again with a new set up a little bigger and so on , but again do not forget to cash out when you are done with your objective :)

How long did it take you to build your bankroll?

A very interesting question. What is a bankroll for you? How big is it in buy-ins? In dollars? What is building a bankroll for you? For some, the Bankroll is 100 buy-ins for $ 0.10, and for someone, 1000 buy-ins for $ 100. The answer to your question will depend on this. Let's say I earned $ 100 in a day on real work and made a deposit for this amount in the poker room, and from this amount I will try to grow my bankroll more. Then the answer to your question is 1 day)

To build a bankroll you need patience, you need to be calm of bad beats and you need to play good.

It took a couple of years to build up my bankroll where I was comfortable to play consistently at my casino playing 1-2 no limit

I am not a player trying to build a bankroll, when I reach a certain amount I withdraw all the money and start from scratch again

i have failed at this many times due to tilt
so this is one of my areas of weakness, but i have soon realized that even in this game everyone want to win no one wants to lose, so i need to approach each game differently
and if i lose or get a bad bit be satisficed that i played well, given that i actually played well lol

How long did it take you to build your bankroll?
That would depend on your goal.
Someone that is content in their comfort zone of freerolls ..... is at their bankroll easily. Someone that plays for broke, will never be satisfied.
In between is a happy medium imo.

Hello, I am building my bankroll from scratch and it has been going on for 9 months, so far I cannot boast of any super large sums, but I still have enough for the lowest limits! The cardschat freerolls help me a lot in building my bankroll and I think they can help you too! Be a disciplined player and you will succeed! I wish you good luck at the tables and in your life!

Best approach as I see it: you are building up experience, the bankroll is a by-product that emerges over time.

Yes, the freerolls from Cardschat are good, I got the 2nd place twice ($23.30 and $15).
But then I had a difficult life period, although I work on my emotions, in the end I let everything down.
Now I'm building a new bankroll.
I played a freeroll with you)) Thank you and good luck to you.

The problem with this question is what does it meant to build it up. A $100.00 bankroll is fine to play $1.00 tournaments

I will take it as a building up to go to next levels. Its more about the volume of play to be honest than a time frame. I have played a 100 tournaments in a month and gone 45 days and not played a 1. It will also vary on the size of the tournaments you play. If your playing a tournament with say 2K players and win you could end up 3 or 4X ing your bank roll in one day.
As for me it vary on time frames. Some sites I have doubled by bankroll in months where others took over a years+.

I had a small balance at 4 or 5 sites just over 10 years ago. Each one was growing. Now I am reluctant to add money to my accounts. I started with freerolls and filled in with small sit and go's. You want to see slow climbs. The bigger the volatility the more risk you are taking. Live games, I have a balance in a separate fund that I grow. $10 a week goes into the fund. I try to keep the pool between $500 and $1000. I try to never lose more than $100 a night, so I play tournaments. Most entries between $25 and $55. When the fund gets over $1000, I buy a meal. I also have a food fund and entertainment fund for nights out. I limit my self to moving money out of gambling fund, but no more than $10 a week goes in.

I generally make money on poker and lose money on other tables and slots.

Hello.
Given that I am a member of the platinum club of our community, it takes me two months to create a bankroll from scratch. In my opinion, an acceptable bankroll should be at least $ 100.

I have been playing poker since 2010, but I still don’t have a bankroll. If I win something (which is rare) I make a cashout. In general, I play as a hobby player and I don’t plan to make poker all the time.

Hey! At the moment I am at the stage of forming myself as a poker player, it is too early to talk about the formation of a bankroll. As soon as I have money on the deposit, I must fill it in tournaments or cash games, the first stage I had when I made a deposit from my earned money, at the moment I am at the stage of accumulating a certain amount on my account, I play mainly freerolls, then when will pass the urge to pour money in unreasonable tournaments, I will move to the level of building a bankroll, in fact it is very difficult.

On another room, I collected $1,000 from the freeroll in 4 days. I can't even raise 10 dollars for Poker Stars. Maybe it depends on luck.

The answers here will vary wildly. Even my own answer do.

When I first started playing poker, I deposited £50 which was about $110 (those were the days) and poof! I had a bankroll.

When I came back to poker a few years ago, with a girlfriend, mortgage and children, spare cash was not so easy to find, so I decided to start grinding the freerolls and build a bankroll from nothing. I made a few small cashes so that I could play the super micro stakes SnG's Eventually I finished 2nd in a CC $1000 freeroll for more than $200 and I was able to say a really had a playable bankroll.

Note that most people will give you an answer in weeks or months, but this can be very misleading. More importantly, how much do they play. Playing 1 tournament a week for an average of two hours and min-cashing once every one-two weeks will take more than 2 years to build a $100 bankroll. Playing 12-16 hours a day every day will mean playing the same amount of poker in less than two weeks. For me, it took around 100 tournaments and largely thanks to that one big cash (which is what tournament poker is really all about).
