Personally I have made more money playing cash games as opposed to playing tournaments, I remember playing in a weekly game at a local club I used to go to, and my friend made 5th place and the money, although it was only £15.00
I was busted out early on when my Full House came up against Quads, so I went to a cash table the lads would start up and by the time my Friend had finished in the Tournament, I had won over£100.00 playing for cash.
You have to understand that playing in a Tournament is different than playing a cash game there is more aggression in cash games, and some players cannot change their playing styles to be able to compete.
Tournaments though will always be my favourite game because I find them fun and that is the only driving force I have, Poker is a serious game and I do play seriously, but I also want to have a little fun playing it, with a tournament you pay the buy-in, and that is all you can lose, with cash games there is no limit to what you can lose, unless you limit yourself, and some people don't know when to stop.
When the fun Stops, STOP!
