Something tells me that wearing a diaper in a live game could improve your fold equity... lol

I can't believe no one sneaks off to the bathroom during dealer changes like I do.

Bit of an old thread bump, but I'll bite...

...where are you playing that a dealer change is long enough for a bathroom break?

Dealers change about every 20-30 minutes at my local casino (in cash games anyway - been years since I've played a tournament there, don't know if that's different), and the process takes less than 10 seconds.

I play at the Meadows in Washington, PA and used to play at the Trop in AC all the time. Changes take a minute or two so I may miss a hand or two but I try to coincide my bathroom/smoke breaks with either the dealer change or when the dealer calls for chips which takes a little longer.

If you are good then going to bathroom break won't change anything

Wow... that's horribly slow.

Seriously, there's no good reason for the average dealer change to take much longer than it takes for the departing dealer to stand up, tell the incoming dealer that the button's good and then the other dealer to sit down and start shuffling. A chip fill shouldn't take all that much longer.

Maybe we're just spoiled here :p

I start looking for opportunities at UTG+2. I don't actually leave at the end of the hand though. I look at my cards and if I don't want to play them I just leave them slightly closer to the dealer and walk away (basically mucking out of turn). If I decide to play that hand, then I'll try next to hand, and then the hand after that. If I somehow wind up with 3 great hands in a row I would wait another round to leave, but I haven't been that lucky yet. By leaving at the start of the hand instead of the end, that adds enough time that I will usually miss one less hand. And I would rather miss hands out of position anyways.

In some cash games there is no sitout and you post regardless, I would also recall going to bathroom or out for smoke after having dealt if my hand was shit so I would be back before my blind hit again, but thinking back on this now and all I have been learning on cc these days I am missing the most valuable positions by doing this but action was always crazy anyhow.

If your casino allows e-cigs, then I recommend getting one, as they can quell that niggling desire for a BURST OF NICOTINE that will only render you impatient.

Furthermore, it will inadvertently make you cut down. Win win.
