I know if I am drinking a little, I have to go to the bathroom atleast twice during a poker session. I have been leaving one seat after UTG and half the time I miss the next hand, half the time I make it if the other hand lasts a little bit.

Does it matter?

Leave after you fold UTG, this way you essentially have an entire round to get back and sit back in your bb without having to pay for not even being around to see hands (ie posting to sitin after missing the blinds when its not your bb).

Besides the bb and sb all other hands are free looks at the cards so you want to avoid having to pay to see your cards if you don't have to and therefore if you get crap UTG throw it and take your time as you have now 9-10 hands to make it back.

In some cash games there is no sitout and you post regardless, I would also recall going to bathroom or out for smoke after having dealt if my hand was shit so I would be back before my blind hit again, but thinking back on this now and all I have been learning on cc these days I am missing the most valuable positions by doing this but action was always crazy anyhow.

Just run before it begins to go down your leg LOL, I hate to leave the poker game live once I sit down because its so slow sometimes fear I might miss some big hands.

It is so easy and funny to see who is at a table when people literally run to the bathrooms lol.

I like your idea. I just had this mentality of I did not want to miss out on even ONE hand..just incase thats my hand ya know? If I did miss the BB, I would then pay 3 bucks right? I cant believe I forget this....I guess with all of the running and in a hurry I forget how much I pay to get back in. (1/2)

I love it when I see the security guards with the chip change. I know I have atleast 4-5 minutes to rock and roll

Haha, yeah i hear ya on not wanting to miss a hand because it could be the one that makes your night (even worse when your stuck I find).

I'm not at a casino much but generally yes if you miss the bb and sb and then come back and want to post to get in right away as opposed to waiting for your bb to come around then you have to post 3$ in a 1/2 game as its sb+bb that you missed.

It's absolutely disgusting how much I want to play some live poker, its so gross lol. Can't wait to go home xmas for holidays and get out to a pub for a few games.

Could be worse than running back and forth fields, could put on a diaper or insert a catheder or something like some slot machine addicts so they don't have to leave at all :D

Being 45-50 minutes from AC makes it easy I guess lol.

online poker does not compare one bit to the real deal IMO. Online I play better tournys than cash games. I start nodding my head with online cash games. The players are probably better due to the amount of hands you play vs live. Also, non poker/casual players will play live games at the casino just because they are there...so competition is tasty.

Getting away for a few minutes every so often is generally a good thing. Don't need to rush.

Solution = don't drink.

No drink no bathroom breaks. Either that or drink more slowly.

i think the best position to go to the toilet is when you start at small blind. that way you can wait all players except one to say what he or she wants to do and if you don't make it you only lose half a blind

Bad part about that is if you miss one hand you are missing the hand when you are the button...

When I play live tables in Vegas I always take breaks after the small blind for one reason; the casino I play at has a bad beat jackpot and part of it is split between all other players sitting at a holdem table. If you are absent from your seat you are still eligible provided you haven't missed paying a blind.

As far as missing out on a big hand, that same hand could equally be a big loser for you. It could be that hand where trip Aces runs into a river straight.

I went UTG and it was a bad move. I missed the big blind by 1 hand and didn't want to wait.....so I had to pay an extra 2 bucks

Next time I will go 1 turn before.

I can't imagine how much money I wasted going to the bathroom during a hand. The moment when you come back to your computer and you see you folded pocket aces and he whole table is all in- priceless.

I try to take a nice little stroll every 90 mins or so, regardless of if Ihave to use the restroom or not. It helps to get up, whether I am up or down, and get the blood flowing. I usually get up right after I fold UTG. I will wait till the BB is about to come to me again and sit back down to rejoin after a full round. This helps me break from the monotony as well as plan when I will hit the restroom.

Yeah, I've found if I leave at like UTG+2 I have plenty of time to get there and back. You aren't playing hands in early position unless they're monsters anyways.

I do my best to try and never miss a hand nor go to the bathroom while I am playing live. If I must go, I wait til the absolute moment that I will BUST and piss in my pants before I dare get up from my seat...

Go when you gotta go. I personally try to wait until after I play my SB. My only rule...never leave in the middle of a rush. Sometimes you just need to get up and move around though. I have a hard time playing a cash game for more than 7-8 hours without finally having to get up and take a 30 min to hour breather. I'll take a $3 hit to save my seat and my sanity.

People leave the table for hours at a time (AC casinos) and it drives me f'n nuts. A half hour, okay I get it, go eat and comeback, but over an hour....you are wasting a space. They won't replace you.

Haven't had a chance to try live yet but, "they leave for hours" !?!

WTF is up with that? Doesn't seem fair to anyone on a waitlist......

yup, and it gets worse...

They will leave for over an hour, play a couple hands just for the sake of it, and leave again for another hour. These people drive me nuts. They are the worst players too who will bluff every hand and call every bet (when they are there)
