Atm I would say I'm a losing player at poker, but I'm slowly learning new things and improving my game. If you had to pick one key thing you've done in the past that has helped you to become a winning player what would it be?

Since you are limiting me to ONE thing.

Bankroll Management

I have tried to learn patience most importantly, but, sometimes bets do get out of hand. You have to be patient.

Figuring yourself out

Knowing your sleep schedule and routine and staying within reasonable limits.

I usually relax by listening to music while I play help me not get bored and motivated in 2-3hr+... tourneys.

Knowing your style. I like no limit holdem big tourneys. I know when to play conservative and when to risk. Adapting to your opponent is the most important thing so pay attention the their style and bet/fold accordingly.

Staying within your budget and not getting a big ego if u win or get to down if u lose.

So find your game style and have fun.
