For a long time with regular cash games pereshol in zoom no regrets in the usual played too many tables and we had to play on the speakers, to zoom the game tight and play 4 tables a lot easier than 12+.

what drew my attention to poker was my ability to observe people and it fascinates me. When you play with a pro or someone very well studied in poker, he can vary his game and make it difficult to read it. But always has some feature that can assist you after a few minutes playing with it which can help you and knows it better for then you apply your techniques in it and do well. It is not 100% guaranteed, but when u play a few times with the same opponent you gather information about it. Even in micros, or other smaller tournaments. I usually win big tournaments playing sit and go 50 cents. Tournament with 45 players and that gives you extract good results.

Whatever works for you! :)

In zoom games there are a lot of aggresive players which raise with any cards,my opinion is that you must stay calm and play when you have good cards that could give you something on the board, dont try to be agressive and bluffing if you dont have too much experience and dont know nothing about your opponents.

The most important thing right now - stop and do not play for money! At this point you're probably on tilt! Do not try to fight back! Get away from the poker table! Ask yourself how long have you been playing poker? What's your level?

If you are not comfortable on the zoom table it is better not to play. Play those where you get better. Why torment yourself and lose money.

In 2014 I easily was beating nl2, but now its harder, in my opinion, playing nl2 is bad idea. Main advise is to value-bet properly and play ABC-poker

It's so difficult without knowing the villains , cause they change all the time , you cannot build an image on the table , many problems when you play zoom , your bluffs on low limits don't get paid , the same as donk bets , so I play 2nl 9handed , very tight , looking to set traps/ mines on fish with 2pair , more sets Iwould say or higher .When I have top pair I play very carefully . Iput notes/colours on everyone to know who plays very risky and who is willing to play his stack for AK Ax etc . That way very difficult you get profits from it but at least you don't get losses . Don't go all in KK pre flop :) almost always AA somewhere outthere !!! . I just play it for the rake when I have profits from freeroll to make some vpps/fpps the easiest way :)

I have been grinding the 10nl zoom now for about 1 month and made 50 bucks into 1100 in this time. Just play ABC poker, notetaking is really important, alot of people will 3bet bluff in the blinds for example. Being able to lay down big hands is also huge. Once doubling up, leave table and start over. See cheap flops with small pocket pairs and suited connectors. Dont overplay marginal holdings. Having an overpair and being reraised/ check raised on all streets, often signals that ur beat.

Before your going to leave the table go through all hands and take notes on players. You are going to see the same player over and over again. So many people is saying you should play thight at zoom, but if this isnt working you should loosen up. Also you should go for alot of thin value bets, not many people will bet the river if not having a really good hand in a big pot, so be aware.

50 into 1100 that's awesome. How many hands did you play and what was your Bb/100 VPIP PFR and 3 bet :)

zoom games are still easy.. ill post hands when i get home and youll see people stacking me with some hands and itll leave you going wtf.

dont overestimate people and just because people have solid stats doesnt mean their solid.

its like they have a nice pretty shiny car but theres no engine... on the outside you wont know any better until you check under the hood

Zoom is better to play on 888poker but there it is called SNAP. Anyways on pokerstars is better to play those hyper knockouts 1 or 3 USD and stick till final table :]

a question related to Zoom.... how often would you shove AK to a preflop re-raise?

i find that any preflop re-raise is usually AK or AA/KK, so i don't usually shove or even call a re-raise with AK.... imo, AK is over-rated.....

anyways, what are the thoughts on shoving AK to a preflop re-raise?

NEVER DONK BET.

So, in other words, slowplay your big hands every single time?

LOL!!! Seems that most people are doing that are missing out on value. Sometimes I will slowplay it, sometimes I won't.

Just play ABC poker, notetaking is really important, alot of people will 3bet bluff in the blinds for example. Being able to lay down big hands is also huge.

The second point is especially crucial. If, for example, somebody limps, then 3-bet shoves, it's most likely Aces, and folding is going to be easy.

I was in a spot the other day where I had 55, and the board ran out 5A8AQ. I bet on the flop (villain check-called). On the turn, villain led out and I raised. Then, when the Q hit the river, villain took a little bit more time than the prior two streets, and decided to slow down and check. It smelled a little fishy to me, and I ended up checking behind.

As it turned out, villain had AQ and rivered a better full house than I did, but wanted me to bluff at it. Pay attention to possible timing tells (ie: insta-checks by players OOP post-flop).

In 2014 I easily was beating nl2, but now its harder, in my opinion, playing nl2 is bad idea. Main advise is to value-bet properly and play ABC-poker

Going back to the first quote above by kmart99, there's not much point in NEVER leading out (donking) with your big hands because you're giving yourself a much better chance to get paid off if you build a pot earlier, and at those stakes, it's more likely that you're going to get your opponent's entire stack as many players will fall in love with top pair (where you have flopped either two pair or a set).

But, playing straight-forward is definitely solid advice.

Always slow playing my strong hands and never donk betting are two different things.

Ex:

Hero raises UTG with AsKd, the btn calls, and everyone else folds.

Flop KsQs6c. Here I lead. Not a donk bet.

As for actual donk bets, none of the top players do it these days. Just observe the highest stakes tables, they never do it.

What happens to your check range when you start donking? Your check range turns to garbage, and now your donk range does as well unless you balance it with bluffs, but then you are in a gray area of wtf button clicking.

If you want to donk, save it for the river.imo.

Or keep doing it, makes me happy when I see someone donk. Let's me know how little studying theyve done.

At first everything looks like a normal ring game table, but as soon as you give up your hand, you'll get a new hand at a completely different table. That's right, you do not have to wait for the hand to finish, you instantly receive new cards. You do not need to throw away your 72nd on the button and expect another marginal hand to fold again. Click the 'Fast Fold' button as many times as you need until you get a playable hand.
