I said half small blind every hand as ante , I was mistaken , it's one whole small blind every hand , lol , in 2nl ofcourse . I played yesterday , again I won 3 more buy ins , actually it's 3 more half buyins (55 blinds i buy in every time, that is the ''half buy in '' for me , lol :)) but still not fun . I want to see many cards , set traps in good positions , if I wanted fast action , rapid quick sjoves , I would have played spins or blast games , lol , not a cash game . pokerstars , greedy bas**** :)

Also I played for fun PLO 2nl , that was not fun, J4xx , not suit , not QKA big card , he raised UTG , sb called , I reraised with AAxx , suited and big cards if I remember correctly , almost all in , but not all in for one two blinds , lol , wanted him to shove , for obvious reasons;) , he shoved , the other one called , lost , JJ on the board . I won'tplay a gain PLO on Stars after this hand , so sick , disguisting . I also played today again NLH 2nl zoom , but with no patience , shoved oop QQ after a 2.5bb bet , me on the SB , 40 blinds , bad , BB called with AA , lol , cashed out , then shoved A2s with 6.5 bb , AQ called later position , lost , lol

With this cash out I saw , that , at least on 2nl , cash out is not profitable now , imo , with 15 blinds I used to have 10 rounds , 90 hands theoretically , ofcourse less than half of these hands would be enough to get a strong hand , or even better in good position , in order to double up . Now with this ante , I think I have less than 30 hands , lol , stack declines so fast , you are forced to go all in very soon AT(cr**)C :D Cash out is not good now on the very micro stakes .

I will play three four more sessions , then I will have my final verdict on 2nl zoom ante for ever !!! On the meanwhile , goodbye pokerstars' PLO 2nl or other stake , for ever !!!

:)

I usually play zoom NL2 on Pokerstars and am having a hard time adjusting to the change. What I've noticed are bigger open raises, like six big blinds or more.

Hello everybody,

the Zoom tables on Pokerstars are now with Ante, how do you think this will influence the game and should the preflop ranges be wider now?

Greetings.
I think that now on ZOOM Full Ring preflop should be played like at short tables ))

P.S. Let's somebody will try to use preflop chart for SH on FR...

P.S.2 And use raises not 3-4BB, but about 5BB...

A well-known poker truth: the more Ante the more percentages of hands you need to play. Adding ante to the blinds increases the size of the pot and improves the chances for a call, plus forces super tight players to join the game more often, so that their stack is not destroyed by additional forced bets.

I used to have this half buyin strategy (55bb buyins:)) to trap with very good hands full stack players .or 200bb or more bbs players , and double up very quickly , besides the fun of seeing too many hands with this stack on 9max zoom . Also half buy in cause I am not a good player , minimise the losses , lol :) But now , half buy in seems very small , it's stressing how fast it declines , I feel a pressure that I will have in very few hands to risk a lot , a lot more and faster than in the past . A lot more action , I don't like it , cause I am kinda tight player :)

I hope this ends soon , and go back in theway it used to be , without antes , antes are good for tournaments imo , not for cash games , don't like to see them on cash games :)

Curious.....why did they do this only on micro/low stakes of zoom ,and not in middle or high stakes zoom games ?? this is not fair .... In the micros of 2nl , or even more on 5nl zoom , NLH or PLO , I think they should have added an additional small blind every round (9 hands on 9max or 6 hands on 6max) , especially on 2nl , if felt the necessity to drive the acrion in more crazy aggro levels , because this extra small blind per hand , is too much ...........

BTW ... Zoom games are not the same as normal cash games , with specific plyers , position , etc . The players' pool change all the time , their position as well , the players playing on it ... So , why not giving the players the opportunity to keep their stack , and return another time , maybe next day , or in two days ??? like they do on cyclone kind of zoom games on ACR (which awards tickets , not a cash game , but I like the format :) Now you play , you sit out for some minutes (10,15,20 ?? I don't remember exactly , and then you are out of the zoom players' pool , which I don't like :()

Designed to generate action and more rake. I won't play it now. I was going off zoom anyway. I only play micro stakes and people don't fold.

Curious.....why did they do this only on micro/low stakes of zoom ,and not in middle or high stakes zoom games ?

Because they will not tolerate it. The same way that Pokerstars increased the rake % in micro buyin MTT's. They are doing it to the micros because they think they can keep raping them for more $'s. It sucks!!!

solution - don't play Maybe if enough players stop playing it, they will change it back? (I won't play it anyways... but for those who want to play zoom, I'd suggest they sitout for awhile)

I think it will influence the game, the players will want to get more into their hands in order to get a barb from the ante.

They removed the antes from the NL2 and NL5 limits, moved them to the higher limits. I think on NL2 and NL5 the game will return to its usual mode.

I noticed that after the innovation with ante, traffic dropped noticeably, at least for NL2 :mad::mad:

I think it's dropped for just about every level they have tried implementing it on.

I'm really not a big fan of the ante games, I think it's good that there's the option to play them in regular tabled but I don't think it should be the mandatory way of playing the micros at PS

While i was trying this ante mode of 2nl zoom game , i saw I had more winnings , players were more willing to go all in , even with crazier hands than before . Now things have changed , they removed the antes from the micros , they introduced them to the higher buyins .

Despite this thing that i have seen , I still don't like these antes games , no fun at all playing zoom with antes , especially on the 6max , there the action I have seen it , it's very high , why put also these antes ??? No need imo :)
