Hello everyone on CC,

I am going to break down here the truth about playing 2-4 live limit poker. I played for months and months. I learned a lot of ins and outs about the game. I became a very solid player and consistent winner at this game. I've been playing Poker for many years now and consider myself an experienced player. Not the best but I am a profitable player. I am going to break down to you why 2-4 is an UNPROFITABLE poker game. Long run or short term for that matter.

I'm sure this question has been asked before and many wonder about it. Am I wasting time playing on a 2-4 game at a casino. That answer is YES.

The average casino is going to take 3-5$ per pot for the rake. That's 3$ just to see the flop and 2$ towards the jackpot.

I would buy in everyday for 100$ (which is the max). There are days where I would run this up too 220$, 260$ some days even 300$ if I was running very hot. Your best days will be when you hit a promotion. Extra 200-300-400$ in your pocket for the day. Still 2-4 is an UNBEATABLE GAME. I do not care how good you are, Hell, I don't care if you can even see the other opponents CARDS for that matter.

On any average day, I would play for 8 hours. On average, I would win any where from 2-3 pots an hour. Lets do the math on this,

If I win 2 pots every hour, for 8 hours, that's on average 64$ to the rake that I have paid by the end of day, if the I average the rake to be 4$ per hand.

If I win 3 pots every hour, for 8 hours, that's on average 96$! you are paying to the casino.

The only reason I was a consistent profitable player on a 2-4 table is for these facts, Promotions pay a lot where I play at. I am a very keen and smart player. I broke even for months. And some days had many losing days. Some days I had winning days as well.

Good luck to all.
