wow chat has took a turn for the worse, a bunch of old men discussing razors. Hopefully vanq can save us with one inspirational post before the next decade.
Don't worry I'm sure you'll get whiskers one of these days.

Very noobish question, does anyone have any strat for withdrawing from a bankroll whilst grinding, like I wanna start taking money out of my account but still slowly grow the roll.

I have $250 atm, my first though would be to have 40bi's for a limit, grind til I have 40bi's for the limit above, then take out half of my profit, then grind back up to 40bi's and shot take?? This way i've always got a large (in relation to what im playing) roll but im still w/ding too.

So right now i'd grind up to $400, w/d $100 to spend on mcdoubles, grind another $100 and shot take with that?? Or, grind to $400, shot take with 10bi's at 10nl and then when/if ive made what I would have withdrawn ($100 in this case) withdraw that and go back to my shot taking level lol.

Would take ages but I'm starting to come round to never being able to make this a decent chunk of my income, so may as well withdraw and get something out of it right?? Would give me a real world thing to aim for and keep me motivated to improve

I withdraw my rakeback.

It means I won't move up prematurely based on rakeback alone and that I have a consistent hourly rate of pay to spend on real life expenses.

i feel like when you withdraw it helps to keep the online playing more real life because you know have a check in your hand. sometimes i feel like when i play online i forget about this aspect. i think this hurts my online playing style as well. im more lose and aggressive

Don't withdraw anything till you're properly rolled for 10nl imo (cos I know you've done well at that level before). Then you could decide a % amount of your profits to withdraw each month depending on how quick you want your roll to grow and how many burgers you want to eat.

I am still yet to withdraw any poker winnings whatsoever lol and I have a similar dilemma myself - I know I can beat 10nl and could withdraw winnings there, but as i don't need the roll for real life stuff I grow it, move to 25nl, get crushed and tilt, move down, rebuild, rinse repeat. I think it's worth it cos I should be able to beat 25nl soon, then I'm going to think about withdrawing some, but at the same time the thought of staying at 10nl and withdrawing like $200 pm is tempting too.

Just about to do roast chicken, roast potatoes, bacon, peas, carrots with gravy and bread sauce.

Couple of glasses of wine with that then fall asleep on the sofa I think. Perfect for an old man on a rainy Sunday :)
