GL Vallet. We all know you can do it, but the most important thing is for you to know you can. I always said "If you believe you can do something, then you sure can, but if you believe you can't do something, then you sure can't." There is a lot of power in being positive on anything. One other thing, and it may seem stupid, but no one is hearing you, so talk to yourself in a positive manner. and get in there and kick some butt

play with players that you are better than they are. if u lose part of your stack be honest with yourself did u get outplayed or did the other player get lucky. if u think the other players are much better than you its okay to leave and find a better spot

I tried to stay and hoped to compensate my losses, but too often I made made the experience that the losses were increasing, may play gets weaker, lost the whole stack and the danger of tilt comes close.
Now I prefer to loose the table and take a break

I re-buy and continue playing if the table has weak players. If I realize that players on the table are better than me, then no point in continuing.
Although at times the desire to recoup makes me stick around even in a losing game.

That is generally a bad strategy. You should expect lots of losing sessions, and should not play differently as a result of being down. This strategy will reduce the number of losing sessions if you don’t play tilted, but the magnitude of the loss should be much greater.

For example, you have lost a significant part of your stack. The desire to recoup always appears. Do you play more confidently or only worse? What are the pros or cons of not leaving the table until you win back?

I see only disadvantages in this concept.
"Sit at the table until you lose all your bankroll," this approach says only a lack of discipline and patience. I think that such players are the best customers of poker sites and casinos. :D

If your goal is to recover your stack, then you will play worse.

GTO poker is based on the long-term; not the short-term; i.e.: trying to recover your stack.

If you're not playing for the long-term, then you're gambling.

Depends on the players at the table. If they are good and aggressive, leave.

Also, if the seat is unusually bad luck, go to another table. Like if you see one dude sitting on your left with 400+ big blinds, it's best to leave if nothing changes.

Chasing after losses or "trying to get unstuck" is kind of human nature, and something all cash game players have probably done at some point (I certainly have). But its bad strategy for a number of reasons. First of all we are usually not playing our best, when we are in this mindset (tilt). If we extend our session, we also get tired, and if nothing else our performance decline for that reason.

In top of that losing is also bad for table dynamics. If other players have owned us so far this session, then chances are, they will continue to do so, even if we are normally "better" than them. Whereas if we have been owning them, then we have a psycological edge on them, and maybe they are the ones to make some big tilted mistake trying to "win their money back". Or they simply seek to avoid us, which makes life at the poker table a whole lot easier, than if we constantly get played back at.

So we should forget all about extending our sessions to "get unstuck". On the contrary it can be a good idea to use some stop loss strategy like quitting for the day after losing 300-500BB in a cash game. And if we play online it can often be a reasonable strategy to leave a table, where we have been beat up, and other players might have noticed it. In that way we at least give ourselfes a fresh start and avoid irrational emotions like wanting to "fight back" at a particular player.

Usually when I'm losing (buy in 100 BB and lose a significant pot, say having 60BB or 50BB left and try to win back my stack, I end up getting even more coolered and blow away the entire stack.
Has happened to me several times and I actually always have the equity edge on preflop all in situation.

Usually the longer I sit at a table, the more confortable I feel. Unless the table is super hard, I would stay and hopefully recoup some plus more since my +ev would be steadily increasing, and if that wasn’t the case, then cya later.

If you feel tilted, then leave the table and come back once you grow mentaly

This situation may make you on tilt. It is best to set the game time and the funds that can be lost before the game, and strictly implement it.
When you have this mentality, even if you have money to win back and lose, you still won't feel happy. But the greater the chance you will lose more.

I got 4 bad beats in 20 minutes.
KK loses TT on the river,
QQ loses 44 on the turn,
QQQ loses to AK,
AT loses KQ on the river having 85%.
My entire stack flew away very quickly. Some players left the table immediately after winning. Because they understood how lucky they were. But I didn't give up. The dealer deals out good cards so that you can lose quickly.
I made a buy-in and moved to another table. I managed to win back everything in one hand with QQ. Never give up.

If your goal is to recoup your losses, you should not be playing at that time. Your goal should always be to play your A-game. If you are trying to recoup losses, you are playing tilted. Lost is, well, lost. It is gone. you DONT recoup. You get over the loss, and if you cant, you stop until you can.

A plan to stay to recover your losses is a plan welcoming more loss.

On such instincts, poker rooms thrive, in very very rare cases you can win back what you lost. You need to learn to play by time or the number of hands and not pay attention to a particular session, but continue to make the right decisions and not succumb to emotions.

I usually have the thought that this is my last hand then I’m going to stop while I’m ahead…it’s that last hand that usually costs me big. Usually those really unlucky hands that you can’t get away from…second nuts type of hands. That’s when I question if I should still leave. It’s not that I’ve started playing badly just got unlucky…so sometimes I stay and build back up…but sometimes I stay and lose more because of the emotional drain of losing a big pot…then I quit.

The worst idea is to continue playing until win back money. A break is obligatory. The next that sholid be wiser.
