I love it when you're looking for an opponent HU, you see a name and think I might play him, just look him up quick...Holy shit have you seen that graph! No chance!

My HU adventure is going fairly well, would be better if I didn't spew off 150BB pre-flop before tho. Enjoying it lots though :)

Lol keep getting hit and run on for tiny amounts of money, still frustrating. At least 2 buy-ins off some terrible guy improved the day.

Most HU regs sit by themselves and wait for fishes to sit. If you're sitting down at tables with people waiting HU you're probably doing it wrong.

Not saying that they're all super good or anything but there is probably more $$s in sitting at an empty table and waiting yourself. HU is all about the bumhunt these days.

Yeah definitely noticed this, some terrible people will sit you. I like to use my 10 searches to see if anyone bad is sitting though, and I'm starting to notice who the bad players are when I'm looking. Should really make a list tho.

Oh yeah and PTR is really killing the HU game. So many people will sitout until they look you up and then either take the blind if you suck or leave if you don't. Some will play like 2 or 3 hands and leave after they've looked you up. Really hard to get in any volume as a decent HU player from what I understand.

Yeah, I would prefer if it didn't exist but you use what you can.

Omg this might be the most tilting thing that's ever happened to me. Guy sits with $17 I raise 88 call shove, he has J8. Wins, leaves.

iPoker has much lower HU stakes if you aren't rolled for 50NL :)

Much fishier too. seriously there are way more fish there than regs. Although didn't play HU for too long there, but still it was rare that anyone but a donk would sit down against me.

Just played the worst HU player I can imagine. He was 3-betting 30% of hands with a 5% c-bet. His fold to 3-bet was 0%. I was basically 3-betting any broadways and most pairs and c-betting 90% of flops, if he checked the flop I bet the turn. Calling his 3-bets with all broadways and betting every flop checked to. So funny.

Lmao bored of waiting around so decided to sit someone, no idea who he is or how good he is, just making sure he knows it's my house now:

full tilt poker $50.00 No Limit Hold'em - 2 players - View hand 923590
The Official DeucesCracked.com Hand History Converter

BTN/SB: $50.35
Hero (BB): $50.00

Pre Flop: ($0.75) Hero is BB with 9  7
BTN/SB raises to $1.50, Hero raises to $4.50, BTN/SB raises to $11, Hero raises to $50, 1 fold

Final Pot: $22.00
Hero wins $22.00

He sits out after 4 hands and thanks me for the good game.

Then someone sits me with about $35 and obviously I just run sick good, this is the 3rd and last hand:

Full Tilt Poker $0.25/$0.50 No Limit Hold'em - 2 players - View hand 923594
The Official DeucesCracked.com Hand History Converter

Hero (BB): $50.00
BTN/SB: $39.05

Pre Flop: ($0.75) Hero is BB with A :club: 3 :club:
BTN/SB calls $0.25, Hero raises to $2.50, BTN/SB raises to $7.50, Hero raises to $50 all in, BTN/SB calls $31.55 all in

Flop: ($78.10) 9 :club: 5 :diamond: T :club:

Turn: ($78.10) K :club:

River: ($78.10) Q :diamond:

Final Pot: $78.10
Hero shows A :club: 3 :club: (a flush, Ace high)
BTN/SB shows A  J :club: (a straight, Ace high)
Hero wins $77.60
(Rake: $0.50)

I am running pretty good :)

First 50nl brag, queue bankroll busting downswing etc.

Why is everyone so scared of regs.

Just sit and adapt, who cares if they have a winning graph, out of all formats of NLHE, HU is the easiest to outplay people at.

I don't mind sitting regs, but I'm learning and I'm still bad so practicing against worse opponents is good at first. I sat a reg who had 800BB just for laughs last night, only down $20 so not bad, very swingy though.

Obviously the terrible call down light or maniac fish are the easiest money, but the tight passive fish are actually quite tilting and taking money off them is a long boring process sometimes lol. Most regs are very bad, in general most people who play poker are bad, and although they have less obvious weaknesses, once they're figured out, money can be won a lot quicker. Plus it's funny how badly "regs" will over adjust against you.

It's not necessarily that people are scared of regs but if your expectation after rake is 2BB/100 vs a bad reg or 10BB/100 vs some fish, it makes zero sense to waste your time playing the reg. HU rake is a killer so you want to make the most $$s you can in the fewest number of hands possible.

Apart from the fact you'll get way better

True and if you're purposefully setting out to improve your HU game sitting regs is fine as long as you can find a reg willing to stick around for more than 3 hands after they check your PTR.

Lol so the downswing obviously came and I cashed out a nice bunch so now I'm back at 2nl haha. Just had the sickest 2nl session ever though. All-in pre with AK twice against KK both times, another AK gets trashed by 22 on an A-9-2r flop and I got 2 of my overpairs crushed by sets. Good day...
