Must be nice when you are that damn rich.

Hey CC, I am posting here just to give update of how things are going playing Holdem. Today was a good day.

I arrived at the casino at 9:30 am. I realized there was no 1-2 games going and there was a tournament starting at 10 am. My plan is too start grinding 1-2 on a daily basis. Probably at about 6 days a week and one day off. I will be investing 5 hours into every session.

Here are my results today.

4 Table MTT, I finished 9th with a 65$ BI. I cashed out for 165$.
It pays out only to 4th. But at my casino they always like to chop on the final table 9 ways. so in reality I didn't really finish in "9th". By the time everyone reaches the final table the blinds are just way to high. At this point it becomes a all-in festival. So the chip leader usually always gets paid 10-20$ by everyone. There was 36 entries. I ran decently good in this MTT. This tournament lasted for 3 hours.

After the tournament a 1-2 table was finally going. I joined in on this game. I hit one really big hand, (and made a few plays here and there) After I made an 8 high straight over another players 7 high straight. I did some Hollywood action for a good 5 minutes on the river to make sure he dedicated all his chips in the pot. (stacked him and felt bad after) Basically I doubled up my 100$ BI on 1-2 to 225$.

all in all **** did I need this win..... I am relieved to finally have a winning day that went good (especially after all of the insane bad beats, and losses I took online......50NL and 100NL and live as well). So yeah, just wanted to inform people as to how this attempt at "making a living on the tables" is going. If you want to know anything else post here and I can explain more. HH, Plays, etc. PEACE

Reading that part tilted me so bad I ended my session

It's definitely a serious leak to read any part of this thread while playing poker.

Eventually. I will have to be rolled for something like this though. In which case, I am not atm. I feel like the tourneys at my local casino really just don't pay out enough. For example. I have to beat a field of 45 entries to make 165. On weekends you can make 345 but have to beat a field of 80 entries. Basically you only are getting paid if you make the final table. The real tournaments are taking place at Commerce Casino. Or at the new Bicycle Hotel & Casino. There tournaments are on a bigger scale. More money and more people. For example, I know they have tournaments there every day and every weekend There weekend ones have fields of 200-300 or maybe even 500 people. The BI's are usually 25, 50, 100, 200, 500 bucks. The good thing is that If I am able to weed out the bad players. There will be more pie for me in the end. However, I would still need to be able to make to that final table or at least beat the bubble and make it to the cash.

The big tournaments are happening at Commerce Casino & THE NEW BICYCLE HOTEL & CASINO. There fields are much larger. There payouts range from 5Grand to 60Grand Lol. Basically more money than I would know what to do with haha. from what I hear if you make the final tables or table I am guessing.

Right now, I have won 2 out of 3 of the tourneys at my local casino. I won the 345 one and the 165 one.

I would love to play a 45 man or a 80 man game... Those games are my fave at PS, not played in a casino yet, but if I had one close enough that played games like that... I would spend my life there :)

I actually just played one today. A 30 person tournament at the casino. 25 BI, 20 Rebuy, 20 for 10K chip. I lost today. I made the final table again. I was expecting we would chop which is what we all normally do at the final table.

Unfortunately, some little kid who was deep stacked and running hotter then the sun had everyone covered.....practically more chips then everyone combined.......He didn't want to chop. He wanted the 1st place pay out. Well I ended up going out at 8th place. They ended up chopping once there was 6 left.

My pocket 9's with 4xBB left. against KQ suited. I turned a set and was also open ended on the turn. Well, unfortunately I made the straight on the river..........which also completed the opponents King high straight. I was upset about it. They are definitely a lot of fun but one thing I notice is they call you with anything......OESD all in, Flush draw all in and the reality of it is that they make it sometimes especially if it's a 3 way all in. I can outlast the field the majority of the time I have made the final table almost every single time. I am literally 3 out of 4 of making the final table. It's fun but sometimes it can be rough which is why I plan on sticking to cash games now.

UL losing when you have a set, I know that sucks.

How did you get down to 4bbs... Were you totally CD?? You may have missed some crucial spots where you could double up when you had between 10-15 bbs :dontknow: 44bbs seems very low to blind down to.

I have just started to try and play cash games this year, I am more used to MTT's, I suppose with learning stratgies while playing freerolls formed me into a tournament player over cash player.

GL :)

Almost all gamblers suffer from a common malady – they overestimate the effect of luck in the long run and underestimate luck in the short run. While anyone who is wining after two weeks (100 hours) or losing after 500 hours is probably kidding themselves when they overestimate their skill or blame their bad cards, because it is much more likely they are not playing well enough. On the other hand, even the best players have occasional losing streaks overall. I expect to lose about one out of every three sessions but I make tons of money at NL.

Also have a look at the Leo too, I used to play there nearly every day and I preferred it
