i have two tips for newer players. one is take all the notes you can on any opponent. the notes are like your key to victory.
another one i have is the rule of 4. this is a way to figure your percentage to win the hand. its not exact but its easy to remember. after the flop figure out how many outs you think you have then multiply that number by 4. thats your percent to win. so if you think you have 6 outs well then 6x4=24 so your 24% to win the hand.
the same method works after the turn or fourth card you take your number of outs and multiply by 2 so once again if you have 6 outs with 1 card to come 6x2=12 so your now have a 12% chance to win. like i said its approximate but its easy
if you can't spot the sucker in your first half hour at the table, then you are the sucker.
