Hey all. I'm mostly an online player, but have gone to the casino maybe 1-2 dozen times in the last 3 years. My general experience at the casino, and I always play the lowest limit, is that play at this level is extremely weak.

In general at a 10 handed table, there will be 3-4 people who have no idea how to play (calling stations, gamblers, etc.), 3-4 people who are of average skill level (maybe breakeven or slightly higher at an online .01/.02 game), and then there are 1-2 other people who are above average card players (people who can read betting patterns, calculate pot odds, play opponent ranges not just their own cards).

I'm going to be playing poker in germany this week, and I'm wondering what to expect. When I go to the casinos in California, I am playing mostly against asians or retirees who enjoy gambling more than being good at poker. I am wondering if I can expect the same thing at the lowest limits in Germany. Knowing how Germans work, I am expecting that they play extremely conservatively, will never bluff, and have above average knowledge of how to play poker and the system in general. However, I'm wondering if these low limit tables are going to bring out the gamblers, either German or foreign.

Anyone have any experience playing there? Is it a more challenging table than the US? Strategies?

I'm almost always TAG at these tables, I pretty much play the same way I would at .01/.02 online. No bluffing, standard pre-flop selection, standard sized bets, aggressive post-flop. I'm willing to change my strategy a little if that's what it takes. I don't want to try to out-TAG the stereotypical German if that's what I'm going to be up against.
