Maybe but we're going to need specifics.
Ehh well this was a hand from sunday. I'm not good at keeping stories like this short and there's no tl;dr version either.
I was in a live 2/5 game and literally the last hand before the game broke I 3bet out of the sb vs an open from the hj, and he's the only player to go to the flop with me. The guy plays at most of the
casinos in the city and is a certified ass. You'll see at least a couple different angles and general dbaggery out of him every session. Anyway I cbet the 599 board and he calls without taking overly long to think about it. Q falls on the turn and before I can make an action he asks me if I want to check it down the rest of the way (I instantly know what's going on with that) so I'm like "oh you want to check it down?" and check to villain who then proceeds to bet $220 into $340 or $350ish.
I'm a bit agitated and ask him what the hell happened to checking down, and his reply is he heard me say said I didn't want to do it or some nonsense. I say checking down is fine and then call the bet, and check the river before the 7 even appeared (I can't remember the last time I made a blind action lol). He bets $550 and again I start on the guy complaining that he's being pretty scummy and he starts talking about how he didn't agree to anything etc. I protest to the dealer a bit but the middle aged filipino lady sternly says the bet is $550 and the action is mine, so I look down at my stack a few moments with a clearly annoyed expression and go all in, and then I give the guy a stare.
He makes the call, I ask the dealer if he called, she confirms, I show queens full, he mucks slowly. He had at least $3.5k or so at the start of this hand and was the 2nd largest stack behind myself. He still had roughly 2.6-2.7k behind when I pushed. So yeah he starts going on about this and that and kept asking me questions but I didn't respond with a single word although I did wink once he started to walk away from the table. I don't care too much about how things happened except that it's the largest pot I've won in quite awhile now at any limit (got a pic of the chip stack on my phone, like a loser). I'm wondering a bit if I could've gotten all of it without being provocative, but nah I doubt it.
