I haven't played a hand in almost 2 weeks. Maybe 3k hands total for the month. Hardly a grind.

Had great fun last night, got second in the tourney. Only a €25 F/O (that allowed rebuys), so i just was a raising and barrelled all night. Ran AK in to AA, KK into AA and rags into top set, and still got HU. Shoved A10 into QQ to finish me off.

I really managed to annoy the regs on the cash table then, min buy in is €50, so its make it €15 pre and shove flop. Easy game, lost the first two bullets, doubled, and doubled again. Then took my moniez and went home. Feel pretty sick at work this morning though.

Yeah my first time playing cash at the gala near me I had literally just finished PNLHE (i think its called that anyways) and learnt all about spr, was doing exactly the same as you were, buying in with 50bb, waiting for a solid hand, open/raise w/e to £15-20 pre and just shove flops, funniest hand ever happened that night, I have TT otb, 2 limpers, 1 guy limp calls my £20 iso, i shove Axx flop for about pot or just over and he tank folds QQ face up lol

EDIT: Remembering that has made me want to go play some live cash again! Havent been for a bloody long time.

i'd say out of all the shorties i play with 90% must be russian atleast (50% of those have Vladamir or Vlad in their names) and the other shorties are mostly from Ukraine which is basically the same thing isn't it. No such thing as british shorties, cause we're coooool.

:congrats:

I don't mind short-stacks online because I play the micros... At 4NL, the shorties suck, lol. :D

:)

What ever strategy articles these guys are learning from, it seems to tell them to basically 3bet tags steal attempts who fold a lot to 3bets - ie, ME, with basically any two cards and cbet the flop 100% of the time.

Hence the weird looking preflop calls and weirder looking flop shoves. It seems crazy but it works and I absolutely destroy the 40bb stackers at 25NL. I used to combat their 3bets by 4betting super wide but I've learned that flatting them and shoving over their cbets is wayyyy more profitable since

a) we have more fold equity on the flop because they miss 2/3 of the time so will fold stuff that they 3bet you with like AJ on the flop whereas they'll stack off with that pre, and

b) there is twice as much dead money.

What I find really amazing is that these guys don't seem to ever adjust. You would think that they would learn not to 3bet me so damn wide. Sometimes with them on my left I'll open up complete trash like J2o because I want them to 3bet me so I can flat and crai otf :)

shorties are easy to play, they just ruin the games by forcing the table to tighten up which is why i hate every one of them with a passion!

OK, this is to add to the growing and totally useful* database we have on how to play/not play pocket aces 170bb deep.

MP is a nit of immense proportions. CO is a supernova reg who should know better.

That's pretty similar to a hand I played the other day, except the implied odds for setmining weren't given by deep-stacks but by a STUPID fish flatting the 3bet making it a 3 way pot.

Yes, I was the idiot with AA who got stacked by a set. Villain raised the flop just like in that hand and I shoved over...doh!

Yeah, mw and some non drooler starts raising flops, depending on textures, you need to be calling at most with pocket aces, shoving over is a disaster, because it's massively overvaluing your one pair hand.
