There is no money in cash games all the guys that I know of that done it ended up going broke or broke even over long run. I made maybe 50k over last 7 or 8 years in cash games. Nobody is beating the variance. You can read all the books you want but the variance will beat you. And now there so many bots on the tables its ruined online poker. Also huds have ruined poker.

When you see guys like Dwan go broke from online poker, IVey down 9 million last 2 years, isildur down like 2 or 3 million last 2 or 3 years until this year, Galfond break even for last 6 or 7 years, Doug Polk admitted down about 2 million this year its all the proof you need there is no money in poker especially texas holdem. You don't see any of the top players play texas holdem there is no profit in the game its to easy meaning no edge. Even farha said unless people play plo they wont making living at poker with texas holdem games to easy to play.

Doug not even playing cash games for his 100 dollar challenge hes playing sngs and hes having a hard time beating those. He even binked 2 or 3 tournies built it up to 600 went to cash games lost it all back. Adn this guy is supposedly the best heads up texas holdem player in the world. he got crushed by all the micro texas holdem regs. its a waste of time trust me. People are just to lazy to go get a job or want to work for someone. But everyone seems to end up broke that I know of that done it. My friend was up 300k in 2 years in heads up nl holdem lost it all back following year was completely broke. And all he did was play mostly fish all day. But they hit and run, some get better, then variance kicks in next thing you know you can't even beat fish. Trust me its a waste of time.

What you are saying simply isn't true. People make so maNY mistakes at NLHE, it is absolutely possible to make consistent profit. I do just that. Live poker is easier FWIW.

You can make a living off of it, it all comes down to bankroll management, know when to back off. Limit how much your playing if your losing that much and spend more time I,proving your game than. Learning on the fly and losing

If you want to make living of poker, it is possible, but you need to be very patient and ready to play for hours every day. Off course, like others said, you need to read a lot and learn about tactics. Wish you luck

i'm struggling with live cash games recently. I mean i'm doing well against skilled players but reckless players, on the other hand, is a pain in my ass. In fact its really difficult to find decent poker players here that play strategically. What should I do? :'(

Your should be happy the games are so good by you. Take lower variance routes, run less complicated bluffs, value bet relentlessly.
