Well there is only 3 starting hands better than jj, waiting on anything better while you are short stacked and your going to be blinded out.
So yes you made the right decision.

hmm I thought JJ was the 5th best starting hand in poker?

1. A-A
2. K-K
3. Q-Q
4. A-K suited
5. J-J
6. 10-10
7. 9-9
8. 8-8
9. A-Q suited
10. 7-7
according to the legend in his own (mind) time Phil Hellmuth

btw I would've done the same thing better luck next time

Man I hate jacks , I feel better calling a 3 bet with pocket Ducks .

Late in the game and short looking at J/J.... I do the same thing ... and lose the same way .

I just ran 2 black jacks against AK hearts in a calculator, and JJ holds up 53% of the time. Then I ran black 33 against AK hearts, and 33 was still a slight fav. AK may have a great positive expectation, against a random playable hand, but I think much of that is because you have a pretty good chance of running into a smaller ace instead of a pair. Against pairs higher than 22, and lower than KK, you are never a huge dog--but also never the favorite.

btw I would've done the same thing better luck next time

You and me both.

In a normal hand, AK suited is better. For a preflop all in, JJ has over 50 % against AK suited.

You definitly played this hand right, but you know how fulltilt is: the weaker your hand the better your chances to win.^^
In early position I would have folded JJ, due to it's to risky and when you're short stacked more people could call.
gl next time with this hand^^
