Here's a little thread I found by using our search feature.Hi guys ... i always have problems playing JJ UTG ! Can someone help me ? I raise pre flop but other player in later position always re raise me ... i don`t know if i just call or re raise him ?
is a mistake. JJ is a premium hand and will win more then it will lose. You are only giving more players behind you to call with proper pot odds. The only way you would want to limp is that you have a read on someone behind you that you are confident they will raise so you can then reraise them. If you want to make money on your premium hands, limping with JJ is a leak (and not a small one).I usually like to limp UTG, and smooth call any raises.
I would like to add that the way you play JJ really depends on the setting(tourney or cash). Here's a little thread I found by using our search feature.

I would call a raise a pre flop if it is less than 20% of your current stack. If you se a a k or q on the river and some one goes all in, just fold, unless you hit your set. If someone goes all in preflop and it is someone with a stack in good chip rank, fold.
