It's very different from a tournament, in the cash game you play more with suited cards, you're more aggressive in the BB SS and CO positions with suited cards and low pairs.... but before you start playing, take a walk, do some exercise and Don't forget to eat well.... =)

I would watch some games and get a feel for how it is played. Look for a table with a weak player or two and you can make some money.

Before you just plunge in do some research, read online articles, do some courses (ie here at CardsChat), maybe read some books, and when you feel you have a basic grasp go to the lowest level game, the 1-2 cent. Play and learn and of course study and move up once you feel that you can crush that level most of the time. If you feel that the next level is not working out, don't be overly proud. Go back down a level and figure out what your game needs. The great thing about micro level cash games are that there are so many ways to generate the kind of money you require to enter them, you are not using your own money to learn, and perhaps even build a small bankroll all pretty much for free!

Play only with strong starting hands so that you can create stronger hand combinations after the flop, such as stronger pairs,
stronger flushes and so forth. Additionally, you should play the majority of your opening hands in position. The last player to act in a betting
round is said to be playing in position. You have an advantage over your competitors in terms of information andyou can maximize the value
of your strong hand.

you have money to play, if so, just log in at low limits and play quietly, but if you don't have money, you need to play free tournaments and collect money there then you can play them. The main thing is that you learn how to play cash games before playing cash games, otherwise you will lose, constantly learn for yourself after playing

I'd look for some videos on Youtube, with players playing the lowest stakes (1c/2c (or 2c/5c) ). Watching higher stakes won't translate to the play in the micros so don't bother wasting your time watching that stuff for now.
I'd also search for a Twitch streamer who is playing micro buyin levels 'cash game'. Try to anticipate what they're next move will be each time it is their turn to act. Try to figure out why they do what they're doing (ie. with bet sizing, etc. etc.)

Have fun and enjoy the journey. Don't expect to be a winning player until you've gained some experience. Also, money lost during the initial stages can be considered as an investment into your poker education and also 'leisure expenses'.

There are different betting strategies and features. Real poker masters prefer the strategy of long stacks for high stakes. The middle stack tactic is universal. It will allow you to understand the features of cash games, increase your bankroll and consistently make money on poker.

You should learn strategies for the kind of play that you plan to do, and manage your bankroll.
Good luck.

1) learn what bankroll management is, you can slightly modify it but stick to the rules
2) start with micro-stacks, even if you have a larger capital, to get used to the dynamics of the game
3) analyze your game after each session (biggest wins and losses)
4) play tight aggressive at the beginning
5) learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn (repeat until end of life)

1. Take the 30 day course here on Cardschat!!!
2. Start at the lowest stakes - online - go with $0.01/$0.02.
3. Study some other resources.
4. Practice and be patient.

Good luck

Have a minimum amount of buy-ins, for example 40 buy-ins of NLHE 2 (USD 80), have time to play it everyday, try to play on regular tables instead of fast fold ones and lose the tables when you see you are losing control of the situation. Analyze your sessions and how you played your hands, specially posting your hands here on the forum for member appreciation.
