I was reviewing this hand and came to the conclusion that given the price maybe i should have called since i don´t block his KQ and nut FD´s. But still i wanted some feedback. What are your thoughts on the hand? PS: I am on the Button this hand.

Looks like you got yourself into a tricky spot overall.
I see where you are coming from, if you thought you were good flop/turn you should be good to call on the river; given the pot odds vs his range. Though you are losing the hand most times.

I'm guessing 8Ts is almost rock bottom of your calling range preflop.
I question whether you should even be at the river in this spot.
Personally I would be folding preflop vs his range and raise-size.

To answer your question, I think it's still a fold river. But I would say it's a fold earlier than the river too.

I understand your opinion. You are right when you say this hand is at the bottom of my defending range preflop most of the time.

Here I defended vs the 3bet because i was in position and we were deep stacked so i thought I had implied odds to justify it. equity realization was also a factor.

Looks like you played the hand fine postflop.

I like your reasons for calling the 3bet and playing the pot in position.

You got great odds the whole way, and the river is close, but I think folding is fine. :pcguru:

Seems like a dubble post, and I already commented on the other one. Perhaps a moderator could merge them? :)

Preflop aggression is usually accompanied by high stakes on further streets regardless of the cards that come in. If you knew that your opponent would raise high, you might have to go limp. Limp call or limp fold, depending on whether it is raised on the preflop. You are no closer to narrowing your opponent's range in the entire history of the hand. For example, he can have AJ here or an absolute bluff with AK. Even the A5 hand fits the aggressive player's range. Maybe playing live against him would give you a better chance of recognizing his bluff.
