So far I've been doing pretty well on ACR tournaments, but am getting annihilated on their cash games. Anyone else experience this. Also looking for suggestions on other sites that might have softer games.

The field has absolutely nothing to do with it! Tournaments and cash are completely different games and yes cash is much more difficult!

Calling range is a lot different on ACR cash. Also, 6 handed is a lot different.

I often get slaughtered playing cash games on any site, I'm just not good at them.

I have never played cash on ACR though, and because I'm so bad, I'm not going to start :D

Depending on site and time of day their can be a difference in cash games.
Also there is a huge difference between playing cash games and tournaments.

As others have said, cash games and tournaments are quite different and require different strategies. But that being said its also important to remember, that there is a lot of variance in poker. So its totally possible to do well in tournaments, because you simply just got lucky over a small sample. And its equally possible to do poorly in cash games over a small sample, because you got unlucky. So before jumping to any kind of conclusions, how many cash game hands have you played, and how many tournaments, and at which stakes are you playing?

Due to only playing on my phone, I'm unable to play my favorite, mtt on ACR. Only cash, which I'm weak at playing. Have been playing play money on poker stars to work on my cash game leaks. After months of play there, cash and tournaments, I've been playing 5c/10c blitz on ACR. Have run my bankroll from $58 to $140. Was at $160, 90 minutes ago. But lost $20 in a quick session. What's helped me the most is playing fewer hands and not calling big river bets, unless my Spidey sense is tingling. Sticking to that plan and trying to leave each session ahead is proving profitable.

Cash games you need to find the table that has at least two maniacs. Not hard to spot. I like the ones who four bet you if you dare to three bet them.

Not only are the formats different - also there is more fish in the tourneys on any site.

The cash game players are more competent - but if you are patient, once or twice every hour a crazy player appears at the table. GL!

Pleasantly surprised by my experience on the 5c/10c blitz tables. Now at $190. Will continue playing fewer hands and not calling big river bets with marginal hands. Probably folded the best hand sometimes in that spot, but so be it.

Well I played on partypoker, pokerstars, back when they started also on GGPoker, and many sites just to name a few... ACR had the softest cash games to my surprise byyy faaar.

Both short handed, 6 max, fast-fold, limit holdem that i experienced were really soft. I ran up like 5 dollars laying in my account into 100 one afternoon.

Cash games are way harder opponent wise then tournaments of similar stakes. Try to stick to mtt s just make sure you have some level of a bankroll and stick to stakes it lets you play, so that you reduce variance. Also try to experiment with playing in smaller fields mid-day, further reduces variance but still easier opponents then in cash-games. Play the bigger field ones only when its some promoted event full of fish, or when you see overlay, or overlay satellites that you sat. in from. GL!:deal:

As many have said in this thread, the cash game players will generally be sharper than the tournament players, and it's hard to casually just hop into them and see results

In my experience if you're going to play cash games you really want to be all in, getting to know who the regs are, how they play, who the spots are and getting on those games

It will be tougher to do that now though with the recent update to the ACR update, It's nice that they are making these adjustments to help protect the recreational players though :)
