It totally depends on the kind of table you're playing. I'd personally never fold QQ preflop unless it's my whole bankroll and i'm not pot commited. Sometimes you got luck & sometimes not. It's stays random. AA can lose from 27. It's just unlikely that QQ will lose in my opinion. Considering the player has played some hands in the past hours.

Nice opinion. All depends on the alignment at the table.
If someone pushed all hands, and you see, his stack grow up hand by hand, I think this guy can beat our QQ even with 88+

You need to look at how the opponent plays. In a cash games you need to lean more to fold. In tournaments you need to lean more to call.

I think that there are situations where you can fold QQ and not feel bad about it! If there are raise, re-raise, re-re-raise or all in I would think twice before going all in.You might be a favorite but you might not so I hate plaing this kind of bingo games!

If I was going to make himself 3BB, why throw away a premium pair. I'll make a call. Then my actions depend on the flop. If you roll an ace or a king and I have a pair of queens on the hands, it is possible to do will have to fold. Before the flop, pocket queens or kings, I hardly throw out

Fold Monster pocket pair

Depends so much on circumstances.

In my mind, most important is not to let the pocket pair take control of you and feel you are obligated to play just because they happen to be in the hole.

Don't let the monster pair take control of good judgment.

That's a very good move if you're aiming to recieve a money rewards. I'd say that it would only be good if you are already in the profitable spots. I mean if you are already in a place where if you get booted you'll a profit from the amount that you have invested.

My review is that you have made a good fold, since no one would like to be booted being a few places away from the rewarded places.

I've folded QQ pre before in cash games. It also depends too on stack sizes I think. If I'm really short I'm more likely to call all in obviously.

Tournaments and cash games - it's two different things. At the tournament sometimes throw QQ to survive the bubble. In cash games, there is no bubble, and the money for the prizes leader in cash games you play on yourself. And I think that, in cash games QQ is not considered a bad hand ..

i pretty much agree with the assessment that it depends on your opponent's style and play. if he's a nit, you might fold to a 3-4 bet.

i always believe in it also depends on your style and play. if your aim is always to maximize your profit, then try to increase the pot and see what your opponent does. this is valid for if you have a position advantage against your opponent. if you are a bit more cautious player like myself, (trying to build a bankroll and minimize your losses) just call and play a flop, especially against a loose player.

for the times when you don't have the position, just call and play. don't try to pressure yourself into building a bigger pot as position is an excellent foil to hide your opponent's cards. you might get drawn into a trap

and yeah, it's foldable at times

I only play 6max, but I fold QQ occasionally preflop. If there is, for example, a 5bet all in with several players behind, I'll fold.
