Today out of nowhere, my 'A' game showed up.
I am not sure if I played 4 or 5 s'n'g's today but I was ITM in all of them, and won 3 of them.
Across multiple sites. They were all $1 games. Keep in mind I'm a barely recovering FRW.
In each of these except one I was short stacked early. Usually due to a funky beat. In the first I got way way shortstacked, largely because I started the day too loose and was at 350 when average was about 3000. I got patient. Very patient. I decided I could outlast the geeks, and folded a bunch till it got critical, when I just opened up a bit. IN no case did I win the magic bullet pot, they were slow methodical builds. Excuse me, I did flop a straight in a limped bb and someone got married to 2 pair and doubled me up.
After the first 3 ITM's I got a bit hesitant, why spoil a near perfect poker day? Having had 3 win days before, and going through that exact emotion, I decided I had to break through. I did in a marathon 3 way that I eventually took down.
Hooray for me, w00t!
The lesson I relearned today was patience.
