while I do believe that marriage can be painful, getting married to a hand can be just as painful as witnessed by silverbuilt.

I rarely slow-play aces, post flop they become a pain unless you flop a set. Especially with scary boards.

Yeah I agree with you on this whyareunvs. I also like to push hard with pocket aces pre flop. Especialy from last position. from early seat I like a small raise in hopes of a re-raise then I push back hard. I think about half my bullets win the pot pre-flop.......WHAT you say ?? yep about half but, thoose small wins add up over the long run to make up for the cracked bullets.....

when I do hit a great flop with Bullets I tend to act like a have missed the flop in hopes of a huge flop bet from another player so I can push back hard, Maybe get em' all-in

Hell Channing I know people with more failed mariages than that. You might want to examine how you are playing this hand but no reason to lose faith. Stuff happens. :p

Nice hands, but I've gotta ask about your preflop thinking...

Hand 1 - No raise preflop with AKs? Missing some potential value with your hand there.
Hand 2 - Why the minimum raise? Min raising will kill you slowly and surely. If you are raising, make it 3/4x BB to go, and dont give the blinds a chance at a flop.

In reply to Shortstakeds post. Consider you have the AA. If it were me I would have played it the same way but folded to the all-in. The chance of you hitting a K or J on the turn was about 10%. So 90% of the time he could hav sucked out another $5 on the turn and then another $5-10 on the river (about 80% of the time). 20% of the time he will lose the entire pot so its not such bad play.

If it were me I would with AA i would raised your $8 bet to about $25. If you fold I am happy and if you call I am happy because the odds are agaist you and I made you pay...

I normally slowplay if I am in early position or have near nuts. If someone is betting into me I am inclined to make a very big bet right there rather than give em a chance. Oh silverbullet.

Hey t1riel, this one's for you!

jacksfullwh1.jpg

Shortstacked - good play on the fist one. It's good to vary your openings and it paid off this time - nicely done.
