One of the two cards you don't want to see hits. The only reason to call this is the huge overbet looks like bluff. Have to know your villain.

Don't post results until you get some replies; you'll get better comments when people don't know the results.

As is, it's fine for the level as it turns out. With QQ I'm more inclined to re-re-raise preflop, or even shove if I think it might get called. He likely would have gone with you, and then you don't have to think about what to do when the K comes on the flop.

I figured he was bluffing as he'd been making alot of overbets and showing nothing in his hand when people fold.

From now on I'll hold the results back till some people respond. Thanks for all your help guys.

Its awesome to beat villians.. however its a dicey play most of the times IMO. Sometimes they are shoving with air.. or othertimes have the K.

just reraise preflop, try to get it in before you see any overcards

4-bet preflop to ~$0.72. If you know he's a retard, he'll prolly shove over you and you can get it all in happily preflop. I rarely lay down QQ preflop at 2$ NL.

Getting all in on the flop is okay if you know he's had that pattern of behavior. Without that read, I think its pretty rough.

To quote the mighty Tenbob, in the "Call Or Fold This Flop With Queens" thread, "This is quite a common spot on the micro's. Without reads the answer is quite simple.
We DO NOT, play for stacks in a multi-way pot with TPTK."

You had less than top pair/top kicker.

^^ But hero had a read

Still though, i don't understand why you would flat call pre flop, then get it all in on an overcard flop. I assume you called pre flop so you could fold if an ace or king fell, but that was obviously not the case. So why did you flat call preflop instead of raise it???

^^I was responding to the original post. I didn't see the Eric's post about having a read.
So if he had a read, that's fine. I remember watching ChuckTs making a similar call with T/T.
