seeing as how SB is the worst position in the game, maybe its because you've played some heads-up ring? (although i guess it should be recorded as button stats and not SB...)

It actually does record it as SB and BB, not button and BB, but apparently he hasn't played HU ring.

As far as my SB stats being so huge... I don't know.
I don't steal a lot, and make a lot of raises to $.75 into unraised pots from the SB with Face/rag type hands, and usually take them down without a fight. I don't think PokerTracker calls this a steal attempt. I guess they add up?
ALSO, at $.10/$.25 the SB is quite a bit cheaper (percentage-wise) than at the $.25/$.50 and $.50/$1 games.

My sample size is nothing compared to other people's sample sizes though. I'm not sure how many hands are required to get a good sampling.

That should be enough of a sample that it's odd to be winning from the SB like that without winning a ton from the others. You've paid $560.48 just in blinds from the SB. That means to even break even you have to win that much, and on top of that you're always in the worst possible position postflop. I'm guessing that with total without blinds you may even be winning more from the SB than from the button, which is extremely odd indeed if you really aren't playing HU ring.

That's it then. Case solved. I suck from other positions. :)

What sort of bb/100 rate should I be aiming for?

lol more like I want to see how you play from the SB and play like that everywhere. Have you looked at your hands from the SB and seen if you had a good amount of big hand wins?

The only thing I think I do different from the SB is that if I have a hand like K/7 I will open to $.75 instead of my normal $1. If I'm called I'm beat and I save myself a quarter. I'll fold those hands anybody else is in the pot or if I get re-raised. And obviously I make the continuation bet post flop, but that's standard.

Keep in mind that at $25 NL the SB is only 40% of the BB, not 50%. So losing a SB isn't as big a hit as it is at most other levels.

I don't seem much of interest as far as big hands go in the SB. that is, I don't see big wins with obscure hands. PT2 wants to divide them by hands.
Here are my top hands, in order of how much $ they won. The top three are all within $10 of each other.
In other positions, A/A is way out in the lead.

What's your win rate overall and I agree with Vanquish very odd that you've won more from the small blind than any other position except the button.

Overall win rate is 9.6bb/100. I know people do better but I'm still learning.

Would you mind posting the stats discussed above from PT3?

Att to Steal 25.03
WTSD: 24.69
Fold Steal BRR: 40.11

I don't see an "ATS" option, so I'm guessing it's "Att To Steal"

The stats have changed a little...
I'm at home now. My database is at home is a bit more accurate, as it's based on data that pokerstars sent me rather than what Poker Tracker gleaned from my HH. I noticed that PT missed some hands so I'd request weekly hand histories every Saturday, and when I got a new laptop I imported from those PS files rather than what PT had gleaned.

My stats at home have actually changed in my favor. 9.6bb/100 instead of 9.44bb/100, W$SD 52.43% instead of 49.97%, etc. I only picked up a little more than a hundred extra hands, but I think the processing of those hands is more accurate.
My PC was way overburdened before and I think that caused some problems with PT importing them on the fly, especially with several tables and GameTime+ running.

Oh... and my win percentage in the SB is 18.45% instead of 18.26%. :D
I didn't know it, but evidently I'm a SB specialist.

Thanks SP. You are a SB specialist indeed. As I said above I'm only at 5.5 BB/100 so 9.6 is WAY beyond me. I think fixing my button play should certainly help me to improve that number.

PT3 makes both stand-alone HUDs obsolete.

What limit do you play and how much do you open for?
I play $25NL and people tend to open for $.75 or $1. The thing is, people who are willing to call in $.75 are also willing to call $1, especially after they've seen that that's your standard raise. And since I'm favored to win every hand I'm involved with, getting that extra money in makes a big difference.
I mean, betting 2/3 of a pot on each street ends up being quite a bit bigger if there's more money in the pot to begin with.

Sounds like me. (I see you're also 2 months, 2 days older than me)

Table selection is another big factor that's easy to fix and has a major effect on your win rate. Do you look for tables with a seat open, or do you find tables with good stats and wait for a seat to open? I do the latter.

Oh... and I 4-tabled for a short while tonight because I got frustrated waiting for a ring to fill. Guess where I was sitting for my biggest hand?
