Well thank you for all your input everyone. I learned something new today.

I had not thought of it this way. A jam on the flop is +ev. If we get called, we have outs. Also the added bonus of possibly taking it down right then and there, because of fold equity.

In this certain situation, calling did work (to get the most $$$). However, I can see now that over the long term, a shove is a better move on the flop.

This is why I come here. You guys really help me with my game.

Yes if I ever find myself in a similar spot (just a matter of time), I will just jam the flop.

It would have been cool if that 10 would have been a heart.... I have never got a royal flush live, only online in micros.

eh jamming flop can't be bad but I think I prefer a call here. I think the amount we get from worse FDs that fold to jam and bluffs is more than the amount of hands that beat us we get to fold by raising.
