Live casino game as per usual.

Villain is a good TAG player. He plays a basic abc game, waiting for big hands, playing them aggressivley, playing slightly looser in late position. He only ever raises from early position with jj+ and aj+.

I am nut mining I think, although im not really sure about this concept, so if someone could link me to an article on it aswell that would be great.

Also, villain always c-bets the flop, but never double barrels on the turn without a made hand <---- very important for later on. To the hand

Blinds £0.50/£1

Hero (£150ish)
Villain (£140ish)

Villain is UTG+1
Hero is CO

Dealt to Hero [:6d4: :7d4: ]

Villain raises to £4
Hero calls £4 <------ I think i am nut mining with position but as i stated,
im not sure

Flop [:5s4: :4c4: :jh4: ]

Villain bets £5
Hero calls £5 <---- Wasnt getting the correct odds to case, but im
thinking that if i hit, i have implied odds against
his big pairs and if i miss, he will still check turn
allowing me to steal if he has nothing.

Turn [:7s4:]

Villain bets £15
Hero ???????

So based on your read we put him on JJ or better. He bet a little more than half the pot. He could have easily made his set and puts a nice value bet in but just as easily he has QQ+ and is betting into a board that doesn't scare him. With 8 outs to the oestraight, the question is do you think you can get 4.75(your odds for drawing to the 8 outs) X 15 (the bet you have to call). So do you think you can get around E72 out of him. This will be a little more than half his stack. Do you think he can get away from his overpair? What if a high card comes such as an Ace and kills your action?
