Villain is fairly solid for this limit. Have played with him before and he doesn't seem to get out of line too much, but will press hard when he spots weakness.

Called the raise of 5.5 BB Preflop and he is representing the made diamond Flush.

He cannot have the ace but might have 2 smaller suited connectors? if you have played with him before then does he make this type of play pre-flop?

His play could easily be a ( semi ) bluff - eg he has and A and a high diamond. You say he moves when he spots weakness - well your bets on the flop looks like a weak CB and the Turn is weak compared to pot. So this too may support the (semi) Bluff.

If he had the flush do you think he would bet this much ( eg enough to try and frighten you away if you do not have the flush? ) - or do you think he would call or bet smaller and build the pot?

You beat everything except the flush.

Anyhow, I do not like the position we find ourselves in due to the bet sizes - that said with the information that you give me I may well call. If a Diamond rivers then I Fold. if not, Push. I am not enthused though.

First off, bet the pot on the flop. If someone wants to draw out, make them pay.

Secondly, the turn bet was weak, bet the pot again at least.

As played, what could he be holding? AK with the king being a diamond maybe? KQd ? maybe even a weaker ace and is trying to push you off.

I reraise all in, even if you are behind, which I seriously doubt, you have 9 outs for a boat and 1 for quads. If I have aces and hit trips on the flop, with maybe very very few exceptions, I'm going to the felt with this.
