That's funny. When I have the best hand, I want *everyone* to call. More money for me.I want to shove, because I don't want anyone calling. I already know that they do not have the better hand on the flop.
You don't know that. Pocket 8s are a good hand to limp/call with from early position live.No pocket eights are in there and the rarity of Ace/8 or King/8 being there is just to rare.
Why not? They will miss way more than they'll hit, and if you made your bet larger than half pot, they wouldn't have the odds to call. Unless they know you'll stack off regardless. Now, I do not want a flush draw to call.
Except you don't, and you want them to call because that's your win rate. Let them make the poor decisions.I surely did not want a Pair with a flush draw to call. Hence, Why I am shoving because I highly doubt anyone will call with a flush draw, but in my game dynamic mind of thinking, I am comfortable with taking in the 42.00$ pot by betting out 82.00$ left in my stack. If giving these "donkey" players as you guys like to call them the chance by me betting only 40.00$ into a 42.00$ pot, I gave him "enough odds" in his mind of thinking to make the call.
Bet a little less on the flop. 30-32$ is enough. You do not have to agree with my play here, i said give me suggestion of what would have been the best play AFTER THE FLOP.
I still have not read one yet. Except for the one that agreed with me.
Check the turn. That K is actually a scare card for you. Especially with the Ks unaccounted for.
Call a non-spade river bet.
