Twice now I've rivered the effective nuts when I've spiked a King or an Ace when playing KK and AA and my value bets just get folded to. This may just be a standard situation where I'm always getting folds (missed draws, etc.) but it's frustrating.
For example, albeit this isn't an 'I have the nuts' situation, I had aces on a board of KT72A. In this instance I was slow playing the aces and the original aggressor checked the river to me. He may have been betting with a 10 or even a King but I never know how much to bet in these spots. The pot was about £60, we both had around £150 behind in 10p/20p and I went for 2/3 pot - £40, which saw a fold.
Should I be making it a lot smaller - £25 for example?? Or even £10?
