If there are no hands, have to wait.No matter Ferrol or baiyin.
fold fold and keep folding till you get top hands to double and keep doing it and don't gamble or you will be out by a donk.
Thanks Reney444 the problem it's that sometimes I don't have a good hand in the early stages of he tournament and then when the blinds get bigger I don't have enough chips to gamble, I only can do all in!If the blinds are small you can wait forever . Tight, patient play will be rewarded .When the antes kick in ( 100/200 level or above usually ) you will have to start taking some risks . Hopefully you will get a little respect 'cause your opponents have seen you waiting for quality starters !
You should start play really tight in the beginning of a tournament (no matter what freeroll or $$). Just play your premium hands as good as possible. And what I see a lot of twitch streamers doing is: Premium hand AA, KK, QQ at a hyper tournament: all-in. So they double up really soon in the beginnen of the tournament.
If you want to win in the long run, you'll have to wait for good hands or a good spot, that means, when you have like JTs and you are on the button or cutoff, or something like K9s, so you can try to make some steals on those spots. But otherwise just wait for good hands. If good hands won't come and the blinds are growing up and you see you are being eaten by them, then you can open you range gradually as your needs on the table.
Finally, if you didn't get any good hands and you are with something like 10-12BB, then i recommend you to open those push/fold charts, you can find anywhere on google, and just shove it and hope you win.
Well, this is the common strategy adopted by the TAG players, but it's rare to NEVER get a good hand when you are playing (surely sometimes you won't get anything better than QQ, but that's common) or have a good spot to steal some chips.
If you have any doubt, search for some videos of Tight Aggressive playing style and have fun.
If we are talking about a Freeroll, I always try to grow fast at the beginning with which you triple your chips at the beginning and you can play more free and covering more cards in the pre-flop.
If you go out with the idea of always waiting for good cards in hand, to play your chips is a mistake in freerolls. Try a bluff, or try to cover your bet with more normal cards.
