You don't play small connectors because they have no value with no implied odds
Noting personal but playing a lot doesn't automatically mean you are right. It is pretty well known there are people making tons of money from hyper SNG. I remember reading somewhere that a majority of the SNE on Stars are hyper SNG specialist.
I do admit I am not too knowledgeable about the format. I have only played a few of them here and there just to see how they are like and to help me get a better feel to clear FPPs on Sunday Storm satellites to get T$. But I have played a fair number of turbo MTTs and the late stages of those are very similar to hyper SNGs in terms of stack sizing so I do have a general idea of what to expect.
Variance is very high, edge is small as its mostly preflop edge and usually your big edge against bad players come from deep stack post flop play where they make a lot of mistakes. That said, you can easily rack up huge volume of hyper SNGs and even with a small edge you can make lots of profits from these games.You need a big bankroll to play these though as the edge is small and variance is very high.
